He's turning into a regular Gaylord Perry
Dodgers signed RHP Joe Kelly to a three-year, $23 million contract with a $12 million club option for 2022.
Athletics acquired INF Jurickson Profar, Rays acquired RHPs Emilio Pagán, Rollie Lacy and 2019 competitive balance draft pick and Rangers acquired LHPs Kyle Bird, Brock Burke, RHP Yoel Espinal, INF Eli White and international slot compensation in a three-team trade.
Profar had a nice year despite getting off to a fairly slow start (batted .264/.348/.478 the final 4 months). He finished with a 108 wRC+ and 2.9 WAR. Steamer projects about the same thing for 2019 (109 wRC+, 2.8 WAR).
Yup. Was thinking he'd be a nice acquisition for a certain NY team who's going to be without their starting SS for at least the first half.
Nellie Cruz to the Twins, 1 year, $14M with a club option for 2020.
I think Tampa did really well inserting themselves into this deal.
Strong front office there and a really good winter.
Might’ve sold high on Burke too.
Really good move when the other options were trading assets for Edwin Encarnacion or Jose Martinez
Cron and Cruz should represent upgrades at 1B/DH for the Twins.
Any news on the Japanese pitcher?
Well know more after the new year.
His posting ends Jan 3 iirc
Remember that 10 year $300M extension I turned down? I was just kidding!
David Robertson to the Phillies 2 years/$23M.
He's gonna be missed in the Bronx.
Another guy the Mets should have been in on.
