A rotation with 3 lefties will be very interesting.
Not sure how I feel about this. The price tag is obviously outrageous but I still believe he has some left in the tank. If they eat salary or they take enough back in return it may be doable.

I think they'll have that regardless. I expect them to go hard for Happ if Corbin signs elsewhere. And at least Happ won't be looking for 6+ years.
Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports that 2018 first-round draft pick Jarred Kelenic is among the prospects under discussion in the Mets' trade negotiations with the Mariners for Edwin Diaz and Robinson Cano. The prize is clearly Diaz, but jeez, Cano's still got 5 years and $120M left. Have to think Seattle's not doing it unless the taker eats a ton of $$$.
I read that potentially Bruce and his salary would be going back, but at the end of the day, how does that really help the Mets?

Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports reported earlier that there is "significant momentum" toward this trade and that "there is an increasing expectation" it will get finished. Kelenic, a 19-year-old center fielder, was selected sixth overall this past June out of a high school in Wisconsin and went on to bat .286/.371/.468 with six home runs, 42 RBI, 15 stolen bases, and 42 runs scored over his first 56 professional games -- all in rookie ball. 2017 first-rounder David Peterson and 2016 first-rounder Justin Dunn are also reportedly being discussed.

Diaz saved 57 games outta 61 tries ... He definitely is the prize... I"m not even sure who the M's are getting back in this deal yet..
Well it is done. Now we need to add at least 2 more relievers and a catcher.
The catcher could hit .220, just as long as he's a stud behind the plate, out pitching staff deserves that.
Come to think of it, makes deGrom's season that much more impressive. He won a Cy Young with absolute trash behind the plate.
