Some of the coaching changes that are coming are important but pale in comparison to the personnel moves that the Broncos need to make. Fix the lines and develop the quarterback. If those two things can happen, the Broncos are in a very good place in general.

I agree Berry will be their focus point. Just not sure if he is real happy with the front office after his contract discussions last year it sure seemed like he wanted to hit the open market and perhaps leave KC... Money talks, so if they throw it at him I am sure he will stay, but he made it clear he isn't taking a discount. I will probably be less surprised then others if Berry is playing somewhere else next year but at the same time they have had an entire season now to make up. KC is in some real cap trouble so we will see how they work it.

Well I doubt he is getting a Head Coaching job again once he is fired so OC is what he has ahead of him. Just depends on what happens to our coaching staff of whether we would have a chance at him or not. I'm a bit afraid Kubiak will scare off any true OC from wanting to come here because of Kubiak wanting some of the control over the offense.

I'd be really surprised if McCoy got a HC job.

Better chance he comes back to Denver then gets another HC job.. I think you will see him down the line get another one, but he is gonna have to head back to OC for a few years again. I just don't think you will see him return to Denver,,, but I would be welcoming him with open arms if he wanted to.

That is the one thing that has me thinking the Chiefs are going to struggle to continue at the level they have because they are going to be kind of like us this year and lose some big time playmakers because of cap restraints. And I'm with you in that it wouldn't surprise me if Berry goes. The type of money he wanted last year will only have grown this season and even with some cuts and restructures they are still going to be tight. 2018 even they are not looking the best cap wise.

Rumors of Kubiak retiring are starting to dampen a bit. More leaning towards the side of the Offensive coaching staff changing up some positions. So looks like one guy might be recognized as the scapegoat. My guess is Clancy Barone the OL coach. He is a holdover from the previous coaching staff so wouldn't be as much in the inner circle.

can we demote him to purely TE like he was before, demote Dennison to OL, and bring in new OC? lol

The only thing that concerns me about KC is that they have actually drafted VERY well these past few years. Especially on defense. They've got some nice young talent on that team, but they clearly need to free up some cap room to keep these guys around long term.

The one thing that has me thinking it could possibly happen is the fact that he left on good terms. Del Rio will never work for Elway again. that is about as big of a guarantee as you get in this league. At least with McCoy what he did with the Broncos helped him get a HC job and I just never heard him really speak ill of Elway or the Broncos organization.

It honestly would not surprise me if something like this happened. I have heard that rumor circulating a bit that a couple of guys will get shuffledf around and with one of them getting a big demotion. Dennison makes the most sense for a guy getting demoted.

Good point. They have drafted well which has helped minimize some of the cap stupidity. Just have to hope that streak ends for them

Sounds like even if things don't work out there somebody will want him then. Glad he is building a good reputation with some that will be around the league. IF we bring in Tyrod then would definitely love to have him come to Denver since he has the experience working with him.
When Tyrod made the Pro Bowl last year, he paid for Jason and Jill to go to Hawaii with him as a thank you. That was really generous in light of what he was making last year. Although he did get paid this year.

I hope so.. Im only really basing it off the fact that it doesn't happen much, where an OC takes his old position back with the same team after being promoted previously. Not to say it won't happen. It has before. McDaniels. Gunther Cunningham, etc... But just saying I have my doubts so not getting too excited. If it happens Ill throw popcorn up in the air and get my pom poms out.

Definitely a classy move by Tyrod. I really would love to see him in Denver as he would be much more appreciate in Denver than he was in Buffalo. He kind of got a raw deal this year with his top-2 WR's going down. Injuries to his OL. The expectations were just off the charts after his last season and the big deal he got.

Pretty sure if you do that it has to be on video and shared with the board.

I'm just hoping they reach big time for a QB this year with missing out on Paxton last year. Trade up a bunch of their picks to get a guy they will sit on the bench for a couple of years and then have that guy bust.

I would be fine with that. Then in a few years give up a 2nd round pick for Trevor Siemian.

Kansas City is in a terrible Cap situation. They are estimated to already be over what next year's will be. So they are going to have to make some cuts just to afford their draft class and RFA's. Good chance Jamaal Charles is gone because he has a decent cap hit and no dead money. That helps them out a bit. They could restructure Alex Smith's deal but that just means he is locked in as their starting QB for more seasons and they seem to be wanting to move on soon.

So yes a deal with Berry or Poe is going to be difficult. I think they will figure it out with one of them but definitely not both. My guess is they try to keep Berry more so than Poe because of Poe's bad back.
I think you're overstating KC's cap situation a bit. It's bad, but it's manageable. They can pretty easily cut Charles and Nick Foles and that will free up $17 million without any dead money. They also have some rollover from this year which should put them over $20 million in cap room for next season. That should get them through their draft picks and allow them to retain either Berry or Poe. My guess is they try to keep Berry since he's the emotional leader of their defense, and there are some concerns about Poe's back.

That would be nice, but I don't think it will happen. Andy Reid has a pretty good track record with qb's. They might take one in the second or third round in the hopes that he'll be their long term guy.

Charles is for sure gone. I think he retires. Too many concussions and knee issues lingering. There were rumors of him retiring 3 years ago due to concussion issues that had lingered. I would be very careful with a long term deal with Poe...
