What I saw last year with Terry and Jayden, im going to have to remove Terry from WR2 status and say he's a 1. Seeing that chart with guys he's played with is even more impressive. Yes, he's gotten insane volume, but he's made the plays, too. As soon as someone else other than Ertz can be a consistent threat, Terry won't be contained. Yes, he got erased a few games, but i put that on other factors than just him.
What I saw from Terry is a lot of the same things that he does, but I also see the untapped potential in him that must be addressed sooner rather than later because the clock is ticking. We've all talked about this and right now Terry is a very nice player on a team that has lacked them for a long long time but we have to start thinking and envisioning bigger and better things for this franchise. To that end, (and I know that they don't grow on trees) which would you rather have...
1. A WR room that depends on Terry as their WR1 (essentially what they have now)

2. A WR room where Terry as the WR2 ( his most natural position, IMO) becomes the most dangerous receiver in the game.

Aren't they the same team that they have been lately? Even if they re-sign Hendrickson that defense is not very impressive. Btw; originally I thought their slow starts to be a quirk but now it has become a trend.

I think some injuries knocked them out of media top tier this year. If healthy, even without a top defense, they could likely beat anyone in the post season

If he cant beat out Noah brown for WR#3 then I have my worries. If we take a WR in round 1 or 2 then I would be really worried about Luke.

Hate to say it but the Luke we want to see won't happen this year. I do think we get the Sinnott we expected last year this year

2. Without question. But a legit WR2 would work wonders with Terry as well

I began to be a bit concerned last year as they kept bringing in guy rather than giving him more opportunities. I still think his claim on the roster right now is as a returner/special teams guy, but he's a 3rd rounder and I'm sure they're wanting to see more in practice. He's really going to have to step up on a team that demands both the ability to block and catch passes from their receivers. Luke is 6'2" 198 Lbs, perhaps bulking up a bit more is the issue????

I don't know about that man, the postseason is a different animal than the regular season. That said, I'm sure that Bengals nation is very concerned about their notoriously bad starts. In the last two years they are 0-5-1 in their first three opening games, and that's with these same guys. Defenses are usually better in the postseason and and couple of stops and opponent scores subsequent to that puts them behind and in catch up mode.

Agreed both will work and as we speak, Terry and a bunch of decent guys are doing some interesting things. That said, and as I mentioned previously, I'm not interested in adequate or good, I'm shooting for quake in their cleats, piss their pants, defensive backs and coordinators when playing against or game planning for a situation where Terry is WR2. (Run game improves too!)

True!!
But also mentioned earlier, this team has entered into a different era, where that one ingredient is in place (QB) and there's an organizational shift from top to bottom. This means that even the overly cautious has to get on board with the idea that having the best of the best are real goals or better doable. Snyder certainly has left his mark, and it's easy to understand pessimism, but is that honestly fair to a group that has done everything to put a real effort into winning and very little to remind anyone of what came before them?

I have some reservations about the off season that won't be resolved until the draft.
I do admire what they've done with all these safe contracts until they can offer longer deals to the folks they actually want.

What do you make of Fowler not being re signed despite the production?
