Will we see 17.5 sacks from him again ? Maybe we should rethink garret and TH and draft one or 2 edges

I'm not all in on TH. Garrett it my first choice. Just not sure if he's going to break free.

Im ok with this too. We do need some elite additions though

my thing is kinda like the tee higgins debate . certainly worth having on the team however trading resources away (draft) plus having to pay him takes away your ability to draft and keep drafting young , fast defenders . to me thats the only way for sustained success

trading for garrett or TH seriously dents that . you pay your qb , you pay your LT , you pay your weapons (either side of the ball ) and you draft well

draft elite guys or develop elite guys is my preferred way

so when people get bent over JD5's rookie contract thing , i know that i have accounted for his salary in the future so staying true to the long term plan is in play , not a short cut

I am out on the Tee Higgins option. I would rather bring back a few of the Skins FA WRs and draft a sure handed, speedy, good route runner.

RE the other TH: Trey Hendrickson. I wouldn't overpay for him. He hasn't shown he can set the edge and stop the run well. That's a major weakness for the Commanders. Trey would be great as a situational pass rusher but he may want 30 million in addition to costing draft capital. The Skins would still need to add an additional DE in FA or through the draft to set the edge. What happens when teams use a hurry up offense & you can't substitute another DE to stop the run?

DE Sweat does set the edge well and stops the run. He wouldn't cost a draft pick and he would be more affordable than TH.
I would also be considering DT Milton Williams. He was impressive for the Eagles last year, especially in the playoffs. (Plus I tend to favor Louisiana collegiate talent) He played at LA Tech.

FA LT Stanley would be a huge addition for this team if he can stay healthy. Especially for the playoffs.

Im with you on this. Higgins was the exception. I think the expectations that would have came with adding garrett would have been crazy
