Im from the mel kiper school with RB;s. Never draft one in round 1. You can always get production from an RB in FA or late round draft pick.
Mel is usually right about that, however, not always. For example the Eagles just gave 41 million to Barkley in an extension. They have the Oline to block for him so it works but he's still a special talent at RB.

In this draft with the Skins needs on defense and at Oline, I would probable use that late round 3rd pick on a RB in this draft.

I was just going to say ,i agree with Dean on not taking RB in the first, but there are exceptions. I think Gibbs in Detroit is an example

its goes back to when Dallas took Elliot over Ramsey in the draft in the top 5. Dallas had the best oline in the league. Did it matter who the RB was? Sure, Elliot helped but I would have gone with Ramsey the elite defensive talent. There are always exceptions but more often than not you pass on RB in the first.

Jaguars released WR Christian Kirk.
The widely-expected move saves the Jaguars $10.4 million against the salary cap in 2025. Kirk, missed much of the 2024 regular season after sustaining a broken collarbone in October, finishing the year with 27 catches for 379 yards and one touchdown on 47 targets. Kirk, 28, had a career year with the Jags in 2022, catching 84 passes for 1,108 yards and eight touchdowns. He’s struggled since then, and in 2024 was quickly usurped by Brian Thomas as the team’s No. 1 wideout. Kirk should have several suitors in free agency, though he would seem destined for a short-term, incentive-laden deal.

Dallas underachieved at that time on offense in the playoffs. The Cowboys definitely could have used more help on defense.

There is also a role for RBs in championship years. Corey Dillon with the Pats (2nd round pick). Fournette with the Bucs for example.

We share similar philosophies RE RBs. I just wouldn't limit myself to never drafting one in the first round. Especially late in the first round.

The Skins wear teams down with long drives and that makes them even better in the second half of games. It's similar to what a running game with a RB can do. It's usually not best to rely too much on a QB to run though. Daniels took a lot of hits last year. He was the six most sacked QB in the NFL with 47. That's not ideal.

I'd rather have Adams. I dont see Adams coming here though. Probably follows Rodgers somewhere.

Only thing is Deebo wants a bag next year. McLaurin needs an extension and Dk is making a good amount. Bringing in DK could rub Deebo the wrong way because he'd probably realize he's not getting an extension.

Last thing we want is a disgruntled Deebo. If they could make it work it would be an amazing room.

Kbso, a healthy Deebo was able to do numbers with Kittle, McCaffery and Ayuik...i think he would only benefit with Metcalf here too.

DK might be better in this system as a blocker than Tee! 235 Lbs vs 220

If we get DK, and add the right RB in the draft, im not sure how defenses stop us.
We most certainly would be better equipped to beat Philly too

I was referring to how to pay all of them when Deebo is going to want a new contract next year. I'm sure they could if they wanted to. I'm just not sure they will or would. I have no doubt those three would work on the field.

That's the goal man! I've never been a supporter of having Terry as the primary target and it's because of something like this. Imagine having to stop DK, only to get smoked by Terry!
