Absolutely not!
Rebuilds/ retools/recalibrations generally means a more youthful movement. Kupp is already 31 years old and past his peak years. Besides, aren't we informed of his lack of an upside because the Rams are willing to part with him?
Now, if the Rams outright release him, sure bring him in on the vet minimum to actually compete for a job, otherwise... pass!

  • ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports NFL executives believe there will be a trade market for Cooper Kupp.
Kupp is due a mostly guaranteed $20 million in 2025, but Fowler says the Rams are likely willing to eat a portion of the contract to facilitate a trade. Fowler lists the Patriots, Steelers, Lions, Commanders and Chiefs as teams that could be interested in acquiring the former Super Bowl MVP. While none of those options truly jump out as an obvious fit, the Rams have a track record of making it known that they’re preparing to trade a declining star player and still getting the deal they desire.

If the Rams eat some of the money, there is a possibly. The problem is his injury history. If you can get him for 10-15 mil with giving up a 5th round pick, I would take the shot.

Unless we can get Kupp for under 5 million, only a million guaranteed, and no draft picks…hell no.

The rams would have to split his 2 year salary with us and I'd do it
I wouldn't mind a 2026 5th...or something like that. I just want no part of his salary. Fowler is pretty credible but not sure if AP is really interested. AP signed Wagner, Ertz, and Ekeler and was told all three of them were washed by many.

Wait and see I guess.

Here's my best offer to the Rams since they are willing to eat some of his salary.
Washington gets Kupp and a 5th rounder in exchange for Washington's 6th rounder and the Rams eating $19,999,999 of his salary. If they don't like that, kick rocks!

And your point is?

I don’t see Dyami getting 5 mil per year for two or three good games in 4 years.

my point is Kupp is a good player he is going to make more than 5m per season

No way. A restructure still costs us his guaranteed money and draft picks.

Kupp is likely washed and if he costs more than a million guaranteed, he is wasting resources for players that are still good.
I don't think he cost no more than a 5th. Washed? No way. 1 million guaranteed? C'mon gk, he will get anywhere from 6-8m per year. Maybe a 2 yr deal for $10m if a team is lucky.

He is absolutely washed. Since his big season, he has played 9 games, 12 games, and 12 games.

It took 100 targets to get 67 receptions and 710 yards.

Kupp has 2 more years on his contract with a base salary of 12.5 mil and a roster bonus of 7.5 mil with a 20 mil cap hit if we take him this season, while he carries a 20 mil hit next season as well.

If a team trades for him, he won’t be paid 6-8 mil.
