No doubt...he's been somewhat of disappointment in quite a few of his AB's in a bunch of games.
Options are limited right now w/o having to lean on the farm for answers.
I bet if we weren't having a good season, we might've already seen more guys brought up.
If the lack of production carries over into the 2nd half...it needs to get addressed and remedied.
McNeil's absence today and value in the lineup became more obvious than usual.
So...staying the course for now seems to be the strategy by Buck/Eppler.

That said....go giants tonight.

Mets RHP Max Scherzer (oblique strain) could come off the injured list to start Sunday. Manager Buck Showalter said after the game that he thinks the plan is for Scherzer to meet the team in Miami to make that start but that he had to talk to general manager Billy Eppler later on Wednesday to confirm it.

New York is off Thursday before Taijuan Walker (5-2, 2.88 ERA) starts in the first of three games at Miami Friday night.
