Well...Bashlor relieved Vargas to begin the 7th and got 2 quick outs...then he put 2 runners on...so now Gsellman (fresh off after allowing the walkoff HR yesterday in SF) is in to hopefully hold the line.

Mets RHP Noah Syndergaard (7-4, 4.36) who is 4-0 in his last nine starts, gets the start on Wednesday against Padres RHP Dinelson Lamet (0-2, 5.14 ERA) who will be making his fourth start of the season. He won his major league debut in 2017 at Citi Field and went 7-8 overall, then missed all of last year after Tommy John surgery.

Sometimes it seems Thor has his head up his ass, he loses focus, and then forgets what the task at hand is/was.

And if Nido is his preferred battery mate, why does he shake him off so much..especially when he's pitching out of the stretch with runners on base, and then misses his locations on lots of the pitches??

I just don't get where he's coming from most of the time...or why he continually allows himself to falter like that.


Mets had a 1-0 lead in the 1st, but should've scored more if not for a few lousy unproductive AB's (what else is new)

Padres scored 1 in the 2nd, & 3 in the 3rd...to lead it 4-1.

Mets reverting back to bad old habits.

He's now at 109 pitches..so that was probably his last inning.
