I voted 11-19 for ripper. That was a real POS move, and I have zero remorse for the subsequent reaction to his stupidity. He'll get what he deserves, it sounds like.

I don't want to see anything that even remotely reminds me of the NBA (melee at the palace) in the greatest sport on earth.

It already happened at MSG at a Bruins game there. I don't remember all the Bruins who went into the stands, but I think Peter McNab may have, and I know Mike Millbury did. I think it was Millbury that was beating some guy with his own shoe

That is true, but maybe it's time to have that cover extended all game and if it blocks the view of those seats a little bit then so be it, you mark them view restricted and lower the price. There's no reason for the fans to be able to interact with the opponent like that and vice versa.

first off, he should be suspended ... he touched a paying fan ... i said in an earlier post that Rypien has issues

but

i think im back down to between 6 and 10 games now after reading the extreme reactions people are having towards how horrible Rick Rypien is for grabbing that front row douchebag and shaking him for a grand total of 1.5 seconds ... I worry the litigious douche might say he's suffering from shaken baby syndrome ... and they didnt even apologize or give him any swag waaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh

anyone catch the tsn panel ... apparently opposing players/coaches go through alot of grief at excel energy and this walkway has a rep around the league ... totally agreed with MacT on this one ... fix that tunnel and dont have guys just coming out of an on-ice fight (that the NHL allows if no-one noticed) have to walk past douchebags that are basically at eye level and 2 feet away with nothing shielding the player from the fan and vice versa ... im really surprised this hasnt happened before

is there anything in any other sport like a guy being sent to the dressing room after being in a league sanctioned fight and then having to walk by a fan standing 2 feet away? is he supposed to be an automaton and check his rage/testosterone at the bench that quickly? we want these guys to be complete badass warriors but then suppress that blood lust in less than 3 seconds ... a lil hypocritical no?
