Never heard of him. Must be a scrub.

If he does not beat out Eli in ST, you know that he is a scrub.

Man, that reminds me. Minor quibble but why the hell is Eli still on the team? Wouldn't everyone here prefer Stewart? Or Chez3?

Is the assumption that Eli was useless as an almost every day guy but adequate once a week? But then, weren't the other two a little better for even that?

I maintain that with Noggin as manager, Eli will ALWAYS have a place in San Francisco. Once SF finally realizes that he's a detriment on the field (in 4 years or so) he will be given a coaching assignment.

Saw Inside the Clubhouse last night. There was a segment on recent draftees taking part in a conditioning program at AT&T/PacBell. Susac was one of the "stars" of that segment.

Second part of the show was on Posey's rehab (with a little about Freddie Sanchez).

I don't think either make the big club. I'm expecting Chez3 to be the Bustenator's backup. Susac goes to San Jo...

In some small defense of Eli:

Giants | Eli Whiteside recovering from elbow surgery

San Francisco Giants C Eli Whiteside (elbow) recently had surgery on his right elbow, and he is doing well. The ailment affected his throwing all season. The team is likely to non-tender Whiteside.

Guys that have a chance to make an impact for us next season:

Justin Fitzgerald (because we are so low on starter depth)
Brian Burres
Heath Hembree
Andrew Krown
Shane Loux
Chris Dominguez
Gregor Blanco

Most likely Blanco, Hembree and Burres

I think Dominguez and Hembree have the best shot at having MLB "breakout" seasons this year. Realistically, I am Expecting Hembree more along the lines of 2013, and Dominguez about mid season 2013, but I will not be shocked with either player making the perma-jump this year.

I think Chez will be a yoyo for a couple years.

Blanco COULD be the diamond in the rough.

Kown (no"r") and Loux will only see time if the world falls apart.

This is Connors last option year, so I expect him to be this year's Rohlinger (SF/Fresno express, should do well in Fresno but struggle in SF)

I was just referring to guys on this list. Kown, Burres, Loux, and Fitzgerald should only see time if 2 of our starters go down. Hembree if injury or a trade occurs. Dominguez is likely after Gillaspie and Rohlinger, but with a good showing could squeak in. And Blanco could pull a 2010 Torres, if Belt is sent down.

In all likely-hood. None of these guys has a big impact (save a Pedro Feliz-like 2001/early career for Dominguez)
