Not going to google, but is that “our Jeremy Reed”. BP has always been kind of a gray area. But it would make sense for he specifically not to be taking any BP.

IMO the on deck circle is the more comparable to shoot around. I always took BP for just working on going the other way, working on (back in the day) bunting and a chance for guys to have mini home run derbies. I could be way off but it never seemed like anyone took BP serious. IMO infield is different and essential because the grass and dirt plays different each day depending on the cut of the grass and weather. If I were to equate it I would say BP is like the infield and outfield in between innings.

I kind of like the 7 inning double headers, but I am not an owner. And truthfully how many rule changes are made with the thought of a historic event causing a backlash. It does seem weird that the NL is still dead set against the DH. It has to be pressure from beat writers and fans because NL teams aren’t run by get off my lawn guys who still refer to the DH as a novelty anymore. I’ve never heard any NL coach saying he loves having to make double switches all of the time over having a professional hitter.
