This is more of what the Yankees should do over trying for Story. Though I would love the M’s to swing Story and Blackmon somehow.Reds acquired LHP Luis Cessa and LHP Justin Wilson from the Yankees for a player to be named later.
The news was announced by the Yankees' official Twitter account late Tuesday night. Cessa has posted a strong 2.82 ERA with 31 strikeouts in 38 1/3 innings this season and will give the Reds a nice upgrade in mid-to-long relief.
I read this move was to open up a 40 man spot for another move. This is more of what the Yankees should do over trying for Story. Though I would love the M’s to swing Story and Blackmon somehow.
Story is a rental in a bad culture or a team that can’t afford to keep him. Blackmon isn’t what he once was but him in LF over Shed Long I think is an upgrade. The Mariners has 2 years to just spend like drunken sailors because it doesn’t mean anything.I read this move was to open up a 40 man spot for another move.
I don't care for Story or Blackmon. Story is a rental and Blackmon would cost too much and not sure he is what he use to be.
I think this is a bad overpay for the A's. Might help them towards a wild card this year but I think they will regret it.A's trading for Starling Marte.
