I wouldn't bet against the Chiefs. I'm not sure what other team is ready to step up, San Francisco perhaps. Did Buffalo, Philadelphia all regress this off-season? Dallas is Dallas and Dak chokes in the post-season. Reid is a top 10 HC all-time. Mahomes has already accomplished more than most QBs in the top 10 all-time. Kelce is one of the greatest TEs ever and they got all those Swifties watching every week which the NFL loves.

This whole thing really flipped on the Tyreek Hill traded and 2 really good drafts by Veach. Earned that top 3 GM. Was able to flip the team into a top 5 defense on top of having Mahomes and a good OL and thats much closer to dynasty football than when this started.

If they do, we'll see. The 90s Cowboys won 3 of four with a loss in the NFCCG to Steve Young-Jerry Rice Niners. ONE GAME and they win 4 straight. The 70's Steelers won 4 in 6 years. The Patriots won 3 out of 4. If the Chiefs lose, I can certainly make an argument for any of those teams over the Chiefs. But none of the won 3 straight. So yeah, it matters in historical context
