Yeah, he's not really into organized stuff, but he'll go golfing with me. He actually did better at games when he was around 5, too. Now, he only watches the jumbo-tron and stands up for the T-shirt toss. He said he enjoyed the Knicks game more; I guess because the arena is smaller and he can follow the action better.
get that kid some clubs asap and go all earl woods on him....papa hu needs an early retirement

Oh he's got clubs, so does his sister. At the very least, I'm pushing them to try to get a college schollie out of it

Carlos Quentin is retiring. Was never exactly a fan of his, but he was a talented hitter. Unfortunately, he just couldn't stay healthy (some of which probably stemmed from how he crowded the plate, and got an inordinate amount of HBPs as a result). If not for the wrist injury, he could have been your 2008 AL MVP.

Rendon has an oblique strain. That blows, he was so much fun to watch last year.

Bryce Harper hits a home run in the 2nd inning.

MASN announcer: "no-hitter ends in a big way!"

It's something they do every game. When the Nats get their first hit, no matter when that happens, FP says "there goes the no-hitter".

It's cheesy, but to be honest, one of the least objectional things they do. It's...not a great broadcast. I wish we could trade with you. I love me some Jerry Remy, and he and Orsillo make a great team.

A few other announcers will use that joke from time to time. First batter to get a hit: "Well, there goes the no hitter." First hit of the game is a home run: "Well, there goes the no hitter, the shutout, AND the perfect game..."

Up until the Mets got their (controversial) no-hitter a couple of years ago, Howie Rose (Mets radio man) would go "..and so, 1,127 games and counting without a Mets no hitter."

Cool, the Mets just needed to play an inferior American League opponent at home to right the ship.

Speaking of "Wright," David's return keeps getting pushed back because the team remains in first place. Dilson Herrera clocked his first dinger last night and is hitting decently while playing solid defense. When Wright does come back, there will be the quandary of what to do with Herrera and Daniel Murphy, who has been moved over to third while Dilson is up.

It's nice to see Herrera playing well, makes Murphy that much more expendable. If I'm an AL team I am all over Murphy. He'd be a solid DH and can be plugged into 1st, 2nd or 3rd when players need a break or if injuries occur. Not sure what we'd get for him, maybe an outfield bat? But then who gets bumped out?

I think one of D'Arnaud or Plawecki will get moved as well.

Let's take all 3 from the Phillies this weekend, keep this going.
