Shutdown of Mets' deGrom extended two weeks

Mets ace Jacob deGrom is showing progress in his recovery from inflammation in his throwing elbow but not enough to start pitching again.

The biggest 2 weeks of the mets season is off to a 0-3 start. 10 more games left with the dodgers and giants

MLB has totally screwed the Mets. The had reasonable expectations, based on last year, for the season to end after 60 games.... deGrom clearly thought so.

Mets went from 5 game up on Atlanta on July 23rd. They'll wake up on August 23rd 7 GB.
