overruled the safe at first with replay but couldnt review the bad call of out at 2nd because it was a judgement call..... :L

Yeah that is one of the most ridiculous things in the world. Just like a "check swing"

But in absolutely NO way was he out of the base path.. He didn't even move

Scherzer's 155 strikeouts away from 3K. He's currently got 61 in 46.1 IP, giving him an 11.8 K/9. Seems like he's got a pretty good chance of reaching it this year.

and the hits just keep on coming

aul Byrd of Bally Sports South reports that Braves manager Brian Snitker "hinted last week" that he doesn't expect Mike Soroka (Achilles) back this season.

Soroka underwent exploratory surgery on his right Achilles, the second operation he's had on his heel since last August. The operation "went well" and there was "nothing out of the ordinary or unexpected," per Byrd. Officially, the Braves are saying there is no timetable for Soroka's return, but it doesn't appear they're very optimistic about the possibility of him returning later this season. It's not a surprise but is still a major bummer that we're likely looking at consecutive lost seasons for the talented young right-hander.

Huascar Ynoa will be sidelined for at least a couple months after fracturing his right hand when he punched the dugout wall.

Well, that's... less than ideal. Ynoa had a rare clunker on Sunday in Milwaukee and apparently took out his frustration in an ill-advised way. The young right-hander had been in the early stages of a potential breakout season, holding a 3.02 ERA and 50/11 K/BB ratio over 44 2/3 innings. Braves manager Brian Snitker said that the club plans to fill Ynoa's rotation spot internally, with Bryse Wilson, Kyle Wright and Tucker Dav

As if the Braves pitching wasn't struggling already.

Jeff Mathis has been outrighted by the Braves. He's played 17 seasons with a career OPS+ of 48. Pretty amazing he's been in the majors for so long given how poor of a hitter he's been.

Geez. Starting to look like Lester may not reach No. 200.
