And for some reason, you’re happy about both.
Well the Mets have been having a tough year and now are playing good. And the yanks are doing good with all the injuries. Is that ok?

Pretty sure it’s against the law to like both the Yankees and Mets. Pick one. Nobody in Alabama likes both Bama and Auburn

Mets are on a really nice run but helps they have had 16 straight against really shitty teams. Best team they’ve played in that run is the Padres who are 9 games under .500.

no, it's not ok.

America needs both the Mets and the Yankees to be bad

this is very bad news!

LMAO at Phillies fans who thought signing captain overrated Harper to a bloated mega contract would win them the pennant.

Phillies at this moment have to rank near the top of the most disappointing team list. I know the Red Sox are probably not making the playoffs, but the Phils have to be in second.

Signed Harper and McCutchen, traded for Segura and Realmuto.

Guess I didn’t expect the regression of Jake Arrieta, Nick Pivetta and Zack Eflin and Herrera being suspended most of the season.

Arrieta's regression isn't surprising. His peripherals have been pretty pedestrian the last few years, even in his last year in Chicago (he was struggling with pitch count and pitching deep into games and home run issues in 2017)

Hard to argue with the Sox being the most disappointing. The lineup's been great, but the rotation has completely bombed this year. Sale's strikeout/walk rates are still among the best but he's had home run issues (especially with men on). Not too worried about him going forward though. Porcello's just getting shelled. Price is averaging around 5 IP per start and has had a few implosions (August 4 against Yanks, June 13 against Texas, July 19 against Baltimore). Crazy to think Price used to average almost 7 innings per game a few years back, though some of that has to do with the overusage of relievers. The bullpen sucks, but it's also been exhausted by an ineffective rotation.

Still think this team can put together one more run in 2020, but I don't know what to make of what happens after.

Didn’t really know where I should put my intro or stuff so I’ll include it here.

Charlie Manuel is coming back to be the Phillies hitting coach.

I’m so glad the Phillies finally decided to make this move too. Definitely needed to be done.

Here’s a little about me. I have a twitter account covering the Phillies. I also write articles about the team. My latest article covers the Charlie Manuel situation. If you want to give it a read here it is:

Do you guys think Charlie Manuel will help the Phillies enough to make the playoffs?

I’m surprised Charlie Manuel wanted to come back to the organization that fucked him over. They fired him, but Rueben Amaro should have been the one to go first. Manager can’t do much with a team full of old, broken down players.

Wasn’t Charlie’s fault that Roy Halliday, Ryan Howard and Chase Utley couldn’t stay on the field and Jimmy Rollins got old and the gm did nothing to address the situation

If the Phillies make the playoffs, it'll be because they backed into the second WC spot. They'd have a shot, but they won't be favorites over whoever they meet up with in the WCG.
