Excuse my French but fuck Carpenter. Peaks and valleys, that was a situation to start a rally and he fucked the pooch.

Gant has bounced 2 pitches when Hendricks is trying to bunt. Un-fucking-believable. Then he walks the bottom 3 in the lineup.

5 walks in one inning.....here we come 4th place. I have tickets for the 26th, thinking of selling them. Now a hit batter with the bases loaded.

Gant's walk rate is scary. He's been walking on a tightrope

I get the feeling that the Cubs are going to eventually pull away from the other teams. Cardinals need an intervention to stay out of 4th place. Even rebounding I dont really see anything sustainable here to get at the top. Maybe the Brewers stay hot but ...eh...

I get the feeling this division will stay close at the top the rest of the way but right now I would have to give the edge to the Brewers because of their pitching. With that said key injuries on any of these teams could have a major effect on where they finish. The Cardinals know this better than anyone.

Normally this is the point in time in the season where I wonder i point out questionable moves Mozeliak has made or one or two areas that the Cards need to work on but this team is just flat out bad. Cards currently 25th in Batting Average, 17th in total bases, 18th in ERA, 21st in WHIP, 27th in fielding percentage. They need to fix a few things just to stay around .500. They need to fix a lot to get back in this. I think they were winning games early on because they were hitting HRs and now they dont have that and all of the holes just lead to a bad baseball team.

You are spot on and I couldn't have said it any better. Mozeliak is certainly between a rock and a hard place right now with so many multiple issues going on with the Cardinals and I don't think getting one or two quality players before the trade deadline will come close to solving all of these issues. When healthy, we've got a solid roster to compete but that's not going to happen for awhile. We proved that before the injuries started pilling up but you can't win with all of these make shift lineups we keep trotting out on the field everyday which creates no team chemistry. When you add that to the fact that even our best players are not playing up their potential it does not create a pretty picture.

It is what it is. Can't keyboard warrior anything around it. Cardinals just have to play better and maybe coach better

Check out the interesting article written and posted on the Cardinals website today about Mo saying changes are coming soon. It sounds like Schildt's job might not even be safe. I just hope Mo doesn't do some things real stupid with these changes that are being hinted about.

Get Scherzer, I know he had a tweaked groin, but they need the help. I have had a running bet with a friend, Cards vs Cubs. $5 per game and $5 for a sweep. This pathetic team cost me $20 this weekend.

You have a friend who is a Cubs fan?

Cards are now 13-24 against teams over .500 and 22-9 against bad teams.

Hopefully some mojo will start carrying over to win some games against the better teams.

Replay in baseball is a joke. One thing, like in football, why don't they announce what in being reviewed? Also the play in the Card/Brave game, Acuna was out on that play. DeJong kept the tag on a d Acuna was not in contact with the bag the whole play. Baseball replay is a joke.

But it doesn't matter if your offense can't score.
