Honestly thought that pitch to Arenado wasn't all that close. Reminds me of the Manny Ramirez/Roger Clemens kerfuffle in the 2003 ALCS.

It's May 5 and their run differential is -82. They have a team OPS+ of 63 and ERA+ of 67

Harrison, Tater, Bader is no Jim Edmonds. He should have had that last play last night. He is good at coming in to catch a ball but he has trouble going back, over his head. I think he was playing too shallow. Great game for Mikolas.

Hope Flaherty can show something tonight.

Brewers DFA'd Cain. Hell of a career, he was a fantastic defender and a solid hitter to boot (hit .301/.362/.433, 114 OPS+ with 126 stolen bases from 2014-18). 38.3 WAR. fun player

As a Cardinal fan, I despised him as a player. In a good way, he seemed to make a play to kill a team. Cocky, sure but that isn't all bad.

Jack Flaherty is the modern day Stephen Strasburg.

He has a cannon.

The power/speed/arm are crazy, and even if he has to get moved to the outfield, so what?

I want to see how consistently he can make good hitting contact in MLB before I get my hopes up too much.

Definitely a rare talent that could be the most impactful Pirates position player since Bonds, with no disrespect to the likes of Andrew McCutchen and Starling Marte, who were extremely talented in their own rights.

he seems like he'd be a very good 3rd baseman, though you've already got a Gold Glove caliber defender there.

Hayes still has to prove he can hit consistently before he's the long-term answer at 3B. His offense has been disappointing so far, though the glove is obviously great.

With that being, every indication from the Pirates is that if they move Cruz, it will be to the outfield.
