Like I said, if we don't manage to get that second wildcard I'll be cheering for the Brewers in the playoffs. I know the Brewers have the pitching but I'm not sure about their hitting to give them a deep playoff run.

Agreed. However, if the pitchers do their job, they won't need to score a lot of runs :suds:

Nice to see STL hitters step up against top tier pitcher. I am rooting for the Brewers to beat whoever they play. STL is not catching them, so take out our competition.

Hello Rockin Robin, Yount that is. Yes to the Brewers beating the Reds and the Padres if they play them anymore this season since they are the only two teams in our way for that second wildcard spot.

Absolutely because good pitching beats good hitting most of the time.

Except for Kershaw, 4.2 era for his career in the post season. In 2013/2014 a 7.00 era vs STL. Not sure this means much but nice to see a negative stat for the west coast evil empire.

We have owned Kershaw in post season play, that's for sure! Speaking of the evil empire, if we can get that second wildcard spot I'll feel pretty good going into a one game showdown in Dodger Stadium with Flaherty against anyone the Dodgers want to pitch against us.

With my new avatar makes me yearn for a SS that can hit the friggin ball. .195 for DeJong is totally unacceptable.

Now our hot dog centerfielder just played a single into a triple.

I don't know what is wrong with DeJong this season after he made the all star roster last season. I do know this however: DeJong had better start hitting or Sosa will become our everyday short stop.

I like Sosa alot. His defense is on the same level pretty much.

Now we have to watch Mi!ler add gas to the fire.

Who would have thought it? Just a little more than a month ago the San Diego Padres had that second wildcard spot all wrapped up and then decided to crash and burn. That second wildcard spot now belongs to the Cincinnati Reds which nobody saw coming.

I would like some of the weed Schilt is smoking. He leaves Cabrera in the game to lose a winnable game, then in the post game presser, he said he thought Cabrera was making good pitches. Shildt, Maddux, Mo, all need to go. Also whoever is their hitting coach. That was a sorry excuse of a game last night.

I feel like the Cardinals need some real awful games to end the season. This team isnt nearly as good as its record. And its probably the coaching.

Agreed! I don't even like Alex Reyes as our closer and I hope he is in our starting rotation next year. I can't remember when Reyes has pitched a clean 9th inning since he creates way more drama than is needed in the 9th inning. Like most of our pitching staff, Reyes seems to have trouble locating the strike zone and good closers just don't do that.

I agree again. Both the Padres and the Reds Have opened the door for us to go get that second wildcard and we are not even capable of doing that.

I kind of chuckle when I see Heyward in right field for the Cubs. He signed there thinking STL couldn't be competitive. Right now he is rigjt, but now he is playing with the Iowa Cubs.

One more question. Anyone know why Edmonds hasn't been on air calling games. Divorce? Naughty texts?

If Heyward was any good he would have been in the Cubs fire sale too.

Can you imagine how the Cubs season ticket holders must feel right now going to see the product they are putting on the field?

Reyes sucks again as a closer. I can't remember when STL had a shut down closer. Sutter?
