For former Dolphins OT Jonathan Martin, SF traded a conditional 7th-rd pick in 2015 if he's on 49ers' opening 53-man roster.

Damn he's already got a bully on the team!

Hopefully they don't go out drinking together.

Low risk deal, very nice!

This is actually a great deal for the 49ers. Low risk, low salary and a competent back up.

I kind of doubt it. Playing for his college coach/cheerleader in Jim Harbaugh should add a support system JMart was lacking in Miami.

If he can't handle the minor stress there, he can't handle the real stress in SF.

I hope he makes the 53 man roster. Low risk and potentially high reward.

The guy broke trust... People have different interpretation of the exchanged texts n he did nothing to stop them or asked them to stop. He went to the principal office...

He was a 2nd year player. He tried to fit in as any young player should, but eventually he broke down. I guarantee you there isn't a single player on our team that would text a young player that they were going to run the train on his sister.

Meh, he's coming in as a guy trying to earn a spot as a back-up... It isn't like he will be starting next week in the NFCC game on the road...

A player who got traded for a low round conditional pick will have zero expectations and pressure from the coaching staff. But please, keep trying.

Well, probably not. But it really does depend on the context. You would never say something similar to one of your buddies?
That said, none of my friends are the type of guy Incognito is.

If Martin gets his shit together, this is a steal of a deal. Id imagine being back on the west coast will only help him in the long run. Good luck with the circus though fellas. (It'll die down pretty quickly once pre-season starts Im sure. But the offseason will probably be dominated by it.)

For a 7th rounder IF he makes the roster- I'm cool with "Big Weirdo" getting a tryout.

No, I would never talk about my friend's family members in such a derogatory manner. There are plenty of better ways to show tough love while still having a good sense of humor.

I'll just leave this article here. I have nothing more to add to this topic. Seems like everyone's mind is already made up anyways

Being the 53d man on a legitimate Super Bowl contender is more stressful than anything that happened in Miami and it isn't close.
