I called DJax to Carolina when I first heard he was available and I still think it makes a ton of sense. Who knows what Jackson decides to do now that it's his choice though.

True story....

IIRC Carolina did nothing to help cam n the offense through fa....

They let their top WRs walk and literally did nothing to replace them. I had heard at one point that their two top wide receivers on their depth chart have never caught a pass in an NFL game.

I literally could talk for 10 minutes on Jackson and the feelings I have on him. I'm fighting off the urge to just go off and fighting off another urge to say just ONE thing on Desean but I don't know what one thing I'd want to say if I could only say one thing on him. Maybe I'll just say I wouldn't touch him with a 10,000 foot long pole if you actually paid me to poke him. The reasons for that are many and all justified IMO.

I just want one of the teams ahead of us in the first to sign him so another wideout drops to us.

If he is wanting !0.5 or more then the 9ers, Hawks and the Panthers are out of it....no real cap space. The Eagles are willing to take a 6 million dollar hit to say goodbye...red flag there. Maybe the Raiders will pick him up and after two seasons he can cry about a better contract.

agree and being there are only two teams after us, the odds are high.

Ugh. I'd want him to get picked by another team in front of us so there's a greater chance we don't take a WR in the first. I'm really hoping for Verrett or Fuller in the first. I could live with Jordan Matthews, but I I'd rather get somebody else in the 2nd.

I would go after now that we don't have to give eagles a pick. I say something like 3-4 years 8 million a year and 10-15 mill Guaranteed. He can be our insurance if Crabtree leaves.

I think the realistic shot is he lands with Raiders, Jets or KC.

He was crying about his 10.5 mil a season and wanting a raise.....do you really think he will settle for less?

I mean, he was cut outright by the Eagles, who aren't exactly otherwise stocked at WR. Maclin was okay prior to injury, and Cooper is alright as a #2, but neither is a clear #1. The fact that they'd cut Jackson in those circumstances is a HUGE red flag for the guy. I wouldn't touch him, even though he is almost exactly what I'd like us to pick up in terms of a WR.

Yes. A team that will give up 6 mil to get rid of a player....red flag.

I'd actually like one of each. I'd like to trade up into the end of the first to have 2 firsts.. I'd be thrilled with any combination of Beckham, Cooks, or Matthews AND Fuller, Verrett or Roby.

They're saving money by getting rid of him. 10 mil a year is a lot for Jackson...

That title's really misrepresenting the tone, though.
