The reason the Steelers were 31st is purely choice, a not irrational choice given the gap between passing and rushing, and the non-existent effect of setting up the pass with the run. It's not as though James Conner plain ole sucks and is Trent Richardson out there.

Too much stretch play bullshit early. Didn't use lead blocking much. Game got away from them and they had to throw.

Some of those slow developing lateral plays may as well have been signaled directly to the Patriots D.

Oh and when they were moved were the grounds crew able to fill the hole left by the goal post movement so that they could still play the game unlike the grounds crew up in Winnipeg a few weeks back?

Rushing success has long been known to be circumstantial much moreso than skill.

Steelers 24 rushes for 75 yards in a loss to the jets! That game would likely have put the Steelers in the playoffs even with their QB troubles. So why not run? Clearly they are again choosing to be 28th in the NFL in YPC......

But their poor run blocking was just a choice. Laughable!
