didnt JuJu catch 100+ balls with Brown on the team? not sure what this argument even is.
Is someone saying the steelers offense is gonna suck?
Apparently David Carr said it so we should all go ahead and carve it in stone.

Seeing as you won't answer the Steelers were at the very bottom of the league in the run game next to last I think. This was obviously the effect of losing Bell if that is a jagged pill oh well.
Havent the steelers been a pass heavy offense anyways?

Bell avg. 86.1 yds a game rushing & 43.7 receiving 11 total TDs his last season with the steeelers
Conner avg. 74.8 yds rushing & 38.2 yds receiving with 13 total TDs.
2017 rushing 1667 yds & 12 TDs
2018 rushing 1445 & 16 TDs

Sorry dont see the sky falling on the steelers running game after Bell.

Weren't all that and a bag of Dorito's last year, yep that is what I said and that is how I feel and I do think you will see more of a drop of this year. It was not a well rounded offense, they relied heavily on AB and JuJu.

Seeing as you won't answer the Steelers were at the very bottom of the league in the run game next to last I think. This was obviously the effect of losing Bell if that is a jagged pill oh well.

You talk about total yards as I said most of those came in the air because they were feeling the loss in the run game. Now you lose AB and whether you can admit it or not he was Ben's go to receiver but he is gone now. When he was on the field with Smith whom I like it afforded the Steelers a little more leeway you no longer have that threat. So now teams will double JuJu or as I said put their #1 CB on him.

So in two years you lost Ben's two main weapons the effects of the Bell lose were evident last year and I think the same will be said of the Brown loss this year. You know all those yards after the catch will drop. Again less rounded offense.

If you can't see that okay I'm cool with that, if you need the bag of Doritos take a walk to the candy machine.
so top 6 scoring last year isnt good. got it. btw TLDR

He's not the sharpest knife in the drawer....Didn't he work as a crash/tackling dummy for Volvo and the Texans?

I think he got hired by Volvo because of the texans.

Last years offense seemed fine to me without Bell. AB gone so JuJu takes over and whoever the #2WR is will see plenty of targets. I don't see much if any step back.

Clearly, losing AB hurts the Steelers offense but I predict ABs numbers will drop off more than the Steelers offensive numbers will.

Ben is still a top QB amongst AFC QBs and a quality QB can cover over A LOT of “deficiencies” elsewhere and that’s assuming they have “deficiencies”. When I look at the skill positions there are still playmakers there. The Steelers O line is still solid, so I think the Steelers offense will be just fine. Ben just has to stay away from the turnovers and they will be a top afc offense.

Did the Steeler OL die? Yes Ben is declining, but JuJu does still exist. Yes, the Steelers O likely takes a hit, but this is some silly pearl clutching.

Steelers 31st in running yards per game.

2018 Pittsburgh 90.1 yards per game (31st)
2018 New York 101.4 yards per game (26th)

Pitsburgh fans will be watching a football team.
Jets will be paying $11 a beer to watch Leveon Bell run.

Statistically Bell will have a better year.....

I think all we need to know about David Carr's analysis is that about 13 months ago, he ranked his little brother as the 4th best QB in the league and had the audacity to call it "unbiased".

12th in rushing DVOA. Swing and a miss.

I posted a statistical fact as evidence of why I believe the Steelers run blocking is overated. Inarguable fact.

DVOA? Useful tool but a manufactured statistic

"Their main statistic (the one that gets all the press coverage) is DVOA, or Defense-adjusted Value Over Average. The beauty of this statistic is that it can be used to compare teams as a whole or in any situation you can think of as well as players. Third downs in the fourth quarter? Yep. Second-and-8? Definitely."

So, you're arguing a statistical eco-fact versus contextualized statistics, weighted and adjusted to better reflect complex situations and scenarios.

Please sit in the corner. I award you no points, and God have mercy on your soul for thinking this was smart.

Brandon Boykin sounds like a player bitter that he didn't get enough playing time in Pittsburgh.

So your point is that the Steelers O-line is the best in the league and is proven by them not being able to gain any yards rushing? 31st - 31st! Not 12th or top 5. Whatever you think must be really smart.....

If be curious what the adjustments are when conner was healthy.

Regardless it was a passing team and yes their line is elite.

Did you know the offense sucked last year?

A pathetic strawman a 10 year old can debunk.

I value their pass blocking far, far, far more than their runblocking, which is probably closer to average/above average. I am literally the RBDM guy, and you seriously were dense enough to come at me with this?

The reason the Steelers were 31st is purely choice, a not irrational choice given the gap between passing and rushing, and the non-existent effect of setting up the pass with the run. It's not as though James Conner plain ole sucks and is Trent Richardson out there.
