Does anybody else like what they see from Vinny Curry, Marshall de/olb?
Vinny Curry NFL Draft Analysis - 2010 Season - YouTube
I 'm going to keep an eye on him throughout the season. I like his length, snap anticipation, first step and tenacity. Looking at his stats from last season I really like that besides his 13.5 sacks, he also had 94 total tackles. At 6'4 255lbs and being a senior he has great size to come in and pair with Aldon. He could be a 2nd round steal. He does need to learn some pass rush moves to really be effective though.

And Ray Graham JUST got on it? :P

I can't take the Big-East conference seriously! It took until after the season with you mentioning Jordan Todman before I considered him a quality prospect. But yeah there's a bit of Bush in him, the announcers are right about him needing to prove he can be more of a north south player.

umm...what is this list for? It doesn't look like any sort of big board. Are these your "sleeper" picks?

Eh, you can kind of call them sleepers, though some of them are already awake to the national conscious.

One guy on that list I'm absolutely in love with, but I'll keep my mouth shut for now. :becky:

It's obviously Ronnie Hillman :) but come two weeks from now, when Stanford plays Colorado, you'll have your sights on Greg Henderson

So, it's your big board then? I can't imagine a big board that doesn't at least have Andrew Luck as a top prospect.

Nooo, it's just a list I made for my own personal use.

You: What's that list for?
1z: Kind of a sleeper list.
You: So you're saying that's your big board.

So I've already all but decided that in an underwhelming NFL draft class such as this (outside of the top 2) I want the Niners to either (1) trade into the top (2) trade the first round pick for a player or (3) trade down to the late 20's or 30's. I know it's way too early to take this position, but I don't expect to change my mind.

I say if the Niners can get Luck do it. If they have the 2nd pick take Matt Kalil. After that I think the best bang for yer buck is trading down. This was my stance in 2006 as well. I wanted the Niners to either trade up for D'Brick or trade down.

Speaking of D'Brick I wouldn't be opposed to trading for him if he's franchised. Then the Niners could either trade Staley or just cut him. Who knows? The Jets don't have much cap space...

Let me add that I don't think either Matt Barkley or RGIII will declare for the draft. I wouldn't really want Barkley anyway, and I'm undecided about RG3.

Also undecided about Landry Jones. He's a good QB, but I'm not sure he's all that special a player.

I've seen enough of Barkley now that I don't think he's going to develop into an elite QB. Unless he shocks me with an amazing senior season I wouldn't take the chance on him. I liked what I thought was a ton of potential, but I don't think it's coming into fruition (or it wasn't there in the first place). I suppose he could change my mind, but I don't think he will.
