So is it ok to start a college football or NFL draft thread here, or is that reserved for another page like some other forums?

No problem. I'll sticky it too. Then I'll have to make the plunge and figure out how to post youtube videos like the fellas.

What about indivividual / specific threads about college football or the draft? Something like:

Who's going to win the Heisman this year?

Or

Will Matt Barkley be a bust?

The little I saw of him, he looked REALLY impressive. Just oozed playmaker. Hope he continues to progress.

I would leave this board if we weren't allowed to talk college football / prospects!

Not as many prsopects about whom I'm super excited for 2012 as recent years (except at the very top), but that could change obviously.

Luck, Matt Kalil, Burflict, Blackmon, Barkley and a few CBs are tops on my wish list right now. I wish there were more really good DL in there 'cause that's my #1 concern outside of QB. Jerel Worthy is getting some hype, but I'm hoping for more of a NT who can plaay the 0 technique if need be.

As much as I hate to say it Sick, I agree with you. At this point I'm not a huge fan of the '12 draft. Though a lot of people are in love with it.

The DL looks real shallow, but that's to be expected after two great DL classes.

This could be the best QB class since '04 if Luck, Barkley, and Landry Jones all come out this year.

So far my big board is looking like...so far i've got my top 8.

Andrew Luck
Matt Barkley
Justin Blackmon
Alshon Jeffery
Matt Kalil
Jeron Hosley
Quinton Copples
Landry Jones

some other guys that i'm intrigued by are:

Shayne Skov (not sure what round he will go)
Jared Crick (Did a solid job last year even without Suh)
Brandon Weeden
T.J. McDonald (woohoo)
David Molk

Interesting choice to have Hosley in your top-8.

Weren't people saying that the Luck/Locker/Mallett class was gonna be as good as that '04 class as well? A lot can change in a year.

Here's a very, very short list of some of my favorite prospects for '12. Obviously a lot can change, and they aren't in any particular order:

- Andrew Luck, QB, Stanford
- Tank Carder, ILB, TCU
- Kerry Murphy, DT, Alabama
- Andre Ellington, RB, Clemson
- Justin Blackmon, WR, OSU
- Riley Reiff, OT, Iowa
- Brandon Jenkins, DE, FSU
- Donnie Fletcher, CB, Boston College

Other than that, I'm not extremely high and/or interested in anyone else in the first round range at this point. Again, this is very, very early.

Bray to Hunter....TD.

Bray is going to have lots of options over the next few seasons ... Hunter, Rogers, Arnett in the slot, and then Lane out of the backfield (I really think we got a huge steal in Lane) ...

It's great to be a Ten-uh-see VOL I say :thumb:

Jeff Tuel(QB), Kirk Cousins(QB), Damarlo Belcher (WR), Devon Still (DE in a 3-4)

just a few players off the top of my head that don't get enough mention

I really like Hosley. I'm not a big fan of his return game and i think it's a bit ridiculous to use a top 10 draft pick for punt/kick returns, but right now he is easily my top CB. Of course it's still early so a lot can change.

Yeah, i actually was one of those people. Luck didn't come out, though so that saved me. Luck, Barkley, and Jones are all locks IMO.

I highly doubt all three declare. I think Barkley stays.

That's an interesting list. Glad to see you are high on Blackmon as well. You're assessments are usually spot on so i'm interested to see how those guys pan out.
