Akeson was pretty good. The penalty is obviously unacceptable, and hopefully Berube rips him. But you keep him.

Emery wasn't that good IMO. His lateral movement is horrid, and was on display for goals 2 and 3.

One goal is unacceptable, especially when it is from Macdonald. We need this split. Win game 2

Flyers went away from what made them successful in the first period, all the talk of putting the pucks past the d-men and being physical against them went away completely after the first period - and that's on Craig Berube, he didn't stay on them enough

I was not impressed at all with Claude Giroux and Jake Voracek - they combined for zero shots on goal - Claude Giroux has to step up because he's going to go against McDonagh and Girardi most times, so he needs to step up and start getting it done - there's no reason why he shouldn't

Actually a bit embarrassed with their game tonight, they melted down and started taking dumb penalties

Sorry but this is the playoffs, you leave all them bullshit penalties behind in the reg season with the Phantoms! If you pull shit like that in the playoffs you get punished for it and thats exactly what happened! He put a dagger in any momentum or fight this team had left in the 3rd, thats not excusable, there needs to be accountability and getting benched would get that across! There's a reason penalty prone players are left off playoff rosters, its because pentalties in the playoffs more likely then not come back to bite you in the ass when you least expect it!

I agree Cobiemonster. I mentioned a few posts back in this thread that the combination of Giroux/Voracek had to be active tonight. Giroux was non-existent tonight and the combination did little or nothing. Simmonds the third guy I predicted needed to be present was also non-existent. Like I said, we had better fix this or this series is going to be difficult to win.
