Tampa Bay made an interesting move. Seeing the interest in Koetter, fired Lovie Smith to promote Koetter. That way teams won't be able to hire and make him the HC. Would be interested though to see Lovie as the DC here.

I'd say Gase isn't going to happen. He is having 2nd interviews with another team. He isn't even on the 49ers radar. Gase probably isn't interested after what happened last year.

Saw that. There is some thought the Gase's agent is behind these stories to pump up his client. All I know is as of today I can't find any link between Gase and the 49ers so something would have to change really soon.

I don't know Fangio's contract details but I would bet that Fangio's contract does not allow him to leave for another DC position so he could not follow Gase to another team. That is very common in the NFL.

I don't see Shaw leaving for the NFL right now, for anyone. Appears from all stories he wants to stay at Stanford. He may try for NFL in a year or two
