Corn crop was down
Ethanol too high in price
Reruns of hee-haw on tv
Couldnt find the airport, the whole state is flat
Keys to the pickup got lost in the corn husks and thrown out
Hog got sick

:noidea:

There was also the incident with the cows on the runway...caused the airport to shut down for a while.

Yeah, as if anyone believes they have airplanes in Alabama.

They do. Even have rockets and space shuttles.

Might even be able to scare up a missile or two if you know where to look without getting shot.

Of course our planes have two wings and one propeller on the very front:lol:

Honestly if the B1G can't represent better than that then the conference needs to give up it's slot and give it to the PAC. It's time for a PAC vs SEC bowl game anyway.

How many PAC fans are going to cough up $800 per plane ticket to Florida?
SEC is not going to play any bowl game out of their jurisdiction.

Nebraska's athletic department sold just 1,748 Gator Bowl tickets at a loss of nearly $800,000. Now I get that Nebraska played Georgia two years in a row in a Florida bowl game and that many fans probably bought tickets directly from the bowl because they are cheaper but DAMN.

There aren't even 2K fans that care enough about the program to buy tickets through the AD department? Nebraska fans have one of the best reputations in college football but if this keeps up that is going to be in the toilet.

Bama's got three less wins in the Rose Bowl than tOSU does and they've played in it 8 times less. Guess Cali is in Bama's jurisdiction huh? 4-1-1 all time record in the Rose bowl.

Dude those wins were as a result of Bama being awesome not the SEC and PAC making a bowl agreement.

Find another big time program who is at least as far away from Florida as we are, and then put them in our shoes.

Just name the team. I guarantee you they won't travel as well given the circumstances.

Wisconsin posters live in glass houses. The Camp Randall Crush

Badgers Upset Michigan, Fans Crush Each Other October 30, 1993 – Madison, WI

The Wisconsin Badgers football team upset Michigan 13-10. Fans, mostly students, charged down the stairs to run onto the field to celebrate. The people in the front were blocked by the guardrails surrounding the field and were squeezed. The crowd in the back continued to move forward. Players and security tried in vain to get the fans in the back to stop pushing forward.

73 students were injured, six of them critically. Badgers football players helped with the injured. Per Mar Security (stadium security) and the University of Wisconsin were later found liable for this situation.

As a result, design changes were made in the stadium which increased the size and strength of the fences.

Wisconsin Victory Celebration Turns Dangerous

A day meant for celebration took on a far darker tone this afternoon when at least three people were critically injured and five others were seriously hurt in a crush of fans rejoicing over Wisconsin's 13-10 defeat of Michigan.

In all, more than 70 people were taken to three local hospitals as a result of the incident, which came moments after Wisconsin's victory before a sellout crowd of 77,745 at Camp Randall Stadium. As of late last night, 16 people were still hospitalized. The great majority of those injured were reported to be women.

I would travel to San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle or Colorado for a bowl game but not going to the dessert. Now the PAC game would probably be best in say Dallas but let's face everyone loves Orlando.

I don't want to go to the Rose again unless they renovate it because the place is a dump. Historically awesome but a pain in the ass to watch a game from seats that are 5 inches and bathroom lines a mile long. It you don't get in the stadium early you aren't seeing the kick off.

My point though is they do travel outside the SEC jurisdiction for bowl games occasionally. And have you priced a ticket to Cali from Alabama lately. Me either.

The key to the Rose Bowl is book early or fly into San Diego. Tickets to LA were going for about $700 a pop but to fly into San Diego it was about $350 a pop. We stayed in SD and loved it so I highly recommend that, rent a convertible and take a charter bus from SD to the game.
