This has got to be the first time ive seen someone question Husker fans traveling
I was honestly shocked when I read the article that you didn't travel well and even more shocked that you guys seem to think its ok and excusable. This has got to be the first time ive seen someone question Husker fans traveling
That is not a complete story. You do not know where the shortfall came in or the context. Take the Cotton bowl. 2013 game was a the largest crown in 5 years. A&M and OU was a big match-up and had to local schools. Comparing to an outlier, even if the attendance was rather poor. Also you dont know where the drop in attendance came from. Was it OSU fans or Mizzu fans that stayed home.
I think Husker fans are just smarter than other fans. The school allotment of tickets are 1. overpriced 2. crappy seats. so why buy them from the school? If I recall correctly from people who went to the game it was like a 33%/67% split with more being georgia fans since it was their backyard, there were supposedly 60k people there, thus nearly 20k Huskers still made it. doesn't seem bad considering the things others have already mentioned in this thread about the repeat game, same location, etc.
, so now it's because the fans were pissed off about the state of the program. that seems like a change in attitude from the OP.
that also seems like a plausible reason, which other huskers have already hinted at in this thread.
That's because your original opinion made you seem like a retard....That's the point of the tread to evolve and figure out what's going on so opinions are always subject to change. I'm just surprised most of your fellow buskers would rather call me a retard and make excuses than discuss the issue.
2010 Outback Bowl featuring Auburn, less than 50,000 were in attendance.
Dumb thread is dumb. Shocking that Nebraska fans are tired of getting fucked as far as bowl games go. We've only been to 3 different games in the last 5 years...the last 3 of which were in FL. Georgia was a repeat from the last year, and we even had a rematch back in 2010 with regular season opponent Washington. In the last 4 years, we've only played 2 "new" teams. Its understandable that people would not want to pay to fly down there again.
Dude I don't care what the circumstances are if you can't sell 2K tickets then your program is not legitimate anymore. I'm not kidding about taking the spot away, when the bowl contracts come up for renewal, if you guys can't be bothered with attending a football game against a historic program like Georgia even if it is a repeat then stick a fork in and shut the program down.
1. Since you guys joined the Big 12 in 1996 you have won 2 conference championships and 1 national championship. Auburn has won 3 conference championships, 1 national championship and had 2 other undefeated seasons.
2. You guys played once for the BCS and lost 37-14 while we have played twice won and lost the second in a close game in the last 13 seconds.
3. We both have 3 heisman trophy winners.
4. We both have exactly 31 players in the NFL currently playing
I think we stack up just fine and as for paying players we were 100% cleared and have been for over 20 years so present proof or STFU.
Soooo you're going to nitpick Auburn's most successful era and compare it to Nebraska's worst?
Naw, that's not how these things work kid.
All time wins (%):
Nebraska- 875 (.703)
Auburn- 733 (.633)
Conference Championships:
Nebraska- 46
Auburn- 15
National Championships:
Nebraska- 5
Auburn- 2 (claimed)
I'm not going to bother going into who's gone to more bowl games, who has more bowl wins, who has been to better bowl games historically, who leads head to head record, or anything else. I'll save you the time and just tell you now it's Nebraska and the comparison isn't even close. Now go away.
