Interesting group. BB still has 10 spots that he can fill because there are only 80 players on the roster.
Defense and ST has 40 and the Offense has 40.

Jacob Hollister is now heading to the Pacific Northwest as the Patriots have traded the young tight end to the Seattle Seahawks. In return for Hollister, New England is seeing a seventh rounder in 2020 head over to Foxboro from Seattle.

Hollister has been with New England since the team signed him as an undrafted free agent out of Wyoming in 2017. He's playing sparingly over the course of his young career, but was primed to see a bump in production last season in Year 2 of his career. Injuries derailed that promise for Hollister, who has eight catches for 94 yards in his career, and was limited to just eight regular season games in 2018.

With Rob Gronkowski retired and Dwayne Allen now with the Miami Dolphins, Hollister was set to be the elder statesman of the tight end group for New England and was seemingly going to have an inside track at legit snaps and targets from Tom Brady in 2019. Alas, he'll now be looking to stabilize his career with Seattle.

Hollister now joins a tight end unit with the Seahawks that consists of Nick Vannett, Tyrone Swoopes, the only other tight ends that make up Seattle's current roster, per the team website.

The writing was on the wall that Hollister's future with the Patriots could be in some doubt after the team signed Matt LaCosse, a similar style tight end, to a contract earlier this offseason. That said, that future was thought to be determined with a roster battle in camp.

Hollister is in a pivotal year in his NFL career as he's set to become a restricted free agent after the 2019 season. If he can prove to be a viable tight end (possibly a No. 2 in a given offense), he could be in line for a solid payday as he's still just 25-years old. Overall, this is a pretty low-risk move for Seattle as they'll get a cheap weapon (just a $648,334 cap hit) for Russell Wilson, who has shown flashes of his potential along with being motivated to make a name for himself in the league in such a crucial season.

As for the Patriots, they are continuing to try and stabilize some depth at the tight end up. Right now, Austin Seferian-Jenkins, Stephen Anderson, Matt LaCosse, Ryan Izzo and Andrew Beck make up the rest of the tight end unit for New England. While there are plenty of bodies there on that 90-man roster, they are still lacking that top-tier talent that was left in the wake of Rob Gornkowski's retirement. Seferian-Jenkins does serve as an intriguing prospect heading into next season, but there is still a question of whether or not this will be the finished product at the tight end spot when they unveil their Super Bowl banner come next September.

Will Hoyer or Etling be the odd man out at the QB position? I would think Etling

If BB us lkookingto save some money, Hoyer will be gone since he's a $2M hit.

What's Etling making? I know it's not $2 but is it $1?

Etling would count $495K against the cap if he makes the team. Stidham’s hit will probably be about $100K more than that based on what the player picked in his spot got last year.
