No reason to punish kids and a new administration that had nothing to do with it.

You're making it sound as if PSU broke NCAA rules, which obviously wasn't the case.I can only think of 2-3 schools the NCAA would do this for. The list of schools they wouldn't do this for is a hell of a lot longer. It's not a question of whether or not the initial penalty was fair; it's a matter of some schools are the NCAA's darlings and there are some schools who would still be sitting in the outhouse riding out the sanctions.

PS: almost all programs that get punished after the perps are long gone, and 100% of the time players and staff live under pubishments for which they had nothing to do with the allegations. Nothing new there.
