The asking price should be astronomical, multiple 1sts.
Mutliple 1st’s for a guy that hasn’t played a snap in his career and had a serious injury to start his career? Doubt that and I doubt Minny would pick Darnold over JJ long-term after one year. But in Trojan’s example, you get two years of Darnold…more of a sample size in this offense. Still JJ no snaps…multiple 1st’s doesn’t seem reasonable

Don’t they play flag football now and a skills competition?

I’m a younger guy but I’m old enough to remember when the Pro Bowl used to be kinda cool at least.
I think being a pro bowl player means a little more than the game.

IMO, the 1st should be a starting point (and not enough for me to move off of him). I'm not buying into Darnold as the Vikings future beyond a place holder for the next kid, whether that's McCarthy or a future pick).

2025 and 2026 drafts aren't looking overly strong for QBs right now. Ward and Sanders are elevated by scarcity this year IMO, and guys like Allar (and McCord if he gets to stay another year) have landmines to avoid to keep their 2026 status high. Ewers might be 2026, and Beck probably should be (but won't). Does Arch come out after only 1 complete season as the starter? Iamaleava might need another year?
OK...but we are talking about a guy who was, what, the 5th QB taken in his own draft coming off a major injury? Who has never had one real play in even a preseason game?

I didn’t call it over. And my comment came in regulation when they missed the long FG and left almost 2 minutes on the clock. Hence the mismanagement.

And I disagree about the choke part.

You can choke and still win.
Cool you think that but all that really matters is winning...especially in a wn or go home game.

Of course winning is all that matters and all that will be talked about in the long run.

But I promise you nobody in that Texas locker room is going to tell you that they did what they needed to do to win the game in the 4th quarter. Shouldn’t have ever gone to OT.

I agree with the weak QB class part that he said, and what you said here, but I don’t see why Darnold couldn’t have any sort of longevity with the Vikings.

This could very well be a fluke season and next season will be a good measuring stick as I don’t see the Lions or Packers dropping off, but when you have targets like JJ and a young Addison that will most likely get even better, I’d rather take a chance on the guy with experience even if the first years of it were on crap teams, he’s played for long enough to have a strong grasp of the game, the speed of it and everything else and has shown he can throw down with the top teams in the NFC.

We were ASU not playing a dumb ass coverage on 4th and 13 away from not having anyone from the big bad SEC in the semi finals

My thinking is that Georgia would have looked a lot better with their starting QB

But also, 2 Big 10, 1 SEC and a team without a conference

That is 75%

Let’s focus on the sec. I never spoke bad about the big
