I'm never conspiracy guy and don;t think this happened.....but if it did come out later the season was title or bust and losing to UM and not playing Oregon and showing changes was planned? Well played, I guess?

...who would be the #1 QB easily in the 2025 NFL draft IMO.

I don't think they'll trade him and that it would take a very strong offer to change that.

Maybe....but I don't think so. Plus major injury AND 1 year closer to FA. My guess is maybe recoup the 1 they used on him.

And it is a far cry from calling a choke job (which it was) from labeling a game a blowout in the first half because it is a 2 score difference.

Texas did choke. They provided opportunity for ASU to win a game that should have been out of reach. ASU just didn’t finish the job.

My guess would be equal to a 1st round pick somewhere between 10 and 20 give or take a bit.

I mean, I kind of agreed with you at the time.....but not sure any worse to call a game over down a bunch of scores early than down 1 score with the ball in OT.

IMO, the 1st should be a starting point (and not enough for me to move off of him). I'm not buying into Darnold as the Vikings future beyond a place holder for the next kid, whether that's McCarthy or a future pick).

2025 and 2026 drafts aren't looking overly strong for QBs right now. Ward and Sanders are elevated by scarcity this year IMO, and guys like Allar (and McCord if he gets to stay another year) have landmines to avoid to keep their 2026 status high. Ewers might be 2026, and Beck probably should be (but won't). Does Arch come out after only 1 complete season as the starter? Iamaleava might need another year?

I didn’t call it over. And my comment came in regulation when they missed the long FG and left almost 2 minutes on the clock. Hence the mismanagement.

And I disagree about the choke part.
