Chip has them at the Terry Donahue Bruin days or on the cusp anyway. They were a lot of 7-5 to 9-3 teams that would occasionally have a 10-11 win season, challenge for the PAC title and win the USC/UCLA game once every 3-4 years.

Terry Donahue years would get a USC football coach fired, but he coached UCLA for 20 years and is considered their best coach.

Meanwhile, Ben Howland got fired as UCLA's hoops coach despite something like 3 straight final 4 appearances and winning the PAC. If a USC basketball coach does that...they'll give him a lifetime contract and put up a statue outside Galen Center. lol
Um? That happened earlier in his tenure.

2 of Howland's last 4 years they did not even make the Tourney. And the other 2 seasons they were bounced early. And in his 5th to last year there they went 26-9 and got bounced early. So 3 of his last 5 years were not very good. He started hot in his UCLA coaching career but faded over the last 5.

That's kinda the point. lol

He does that at USC, he's likely still our hoops coach. At UCLA, it wasn't good enough and he got fired.

Eagles dealing with an issue even before the game starts. Lane Johnson tweaked his groin in practice Friday. Woke up today and it’s still bad. He’s getting an MRI as we speak. During his Eagles career, he’s been their staple good luck charm. They’ve won 2 of 3 games he’s started through that time and they’ve lost 2 of 3 games when he sits. I’m treading cautiously here if I’m the Eagles and I’m sitting him today regardless of what the MRI shows. This is the kind of injury that should move a line in your mind.

I’m interested in how the move affects both teams. Let’s not act like there aren’t a lot of wins in the Big. Rutgers, Maryland, Illinois, Indiana, Northwestern, Iowa, Minnesota, etc. all teams they should dominate.

That’s a play they should have some success with Olave though

Yep. It’s a matchup and personnel play call. I agree with both of you guys. It’s a low percentage play for most QB/WR combos. However, if a team can make it work with proficiency it’s the best red zone play one can run. Pass rush is a non factor. You can’t get sacked on a one step drop.
