this entire situation is being mishandled and I can honestly say not all of it is his fault.

Another one that's out there that's being mishandled is Treyveon

Yeah, a big part of the issue definitely seems to be how the Browns have handled it. If memory serves, they basically just came out and said "He was cleared to play" with no context. That leaves folks rightfully thinking..."Why isn't he playing?"

As I said a few days ago, being cleared to play can be as simple as...he's not likely to make it worse. At that point, it's about pain management/tolerance.

If it's on his throwing shoulder and is painful enough to limit his velocity, distance, etc. then it may be in his and the teams best interest for him to not play.

When you couple that with this concussion thing or whatever it was and Stefanski's better late than never defense of him...it seems to be creating a lot of doubt about him.

Watching him play yesterday definitely made me rethink the severity of his injury. He was REALLY bad. And in that sense I gotta recalibrate because my entire thought process was he's obviously better than what he have (which is the worst qb group in the league minus Watson)

The Bears are starting an undrafted division like 2 guy over PJ Walker. And Walker was better than DTR.

Pitched around Schwarber and Harper. Be hard to do that the whole game.

As I said, handle it the first time by saying "we all decided it was best that he sit as he was not able to throw as needed" (don't even mention the medically cleared part) and it's much less of a story. They have handled it fine since that IMO.

On an unrelated Stefanski note (and he is not ripped much here but is by Browns fans) I saw this and is so true......

"The negativity around Kevin Stefanski amazes me. The guy is 30-26 with Baker, Case Keenum, Jacoby Brissett, Nick Mullens, DTR, PJ Walker, and the ghost of Deshaun Watson starting at QB for him. Yet we have fans acting like he's Hue Jackson 2.0. It's insane to me."

I'd add with a bad-awful defense until this season.

@thunderc you were right about this kid Brock Purdy.

I thought in year 2 defenses might be able to figure him out with some game film on him.

Kudos.
