In best of 7, sometimes it may make sense to save your ace for game 3 IMO as it would give you a significant pitching advantage for a potential game 7 or you can pitch on short rest if needed in a do or die game 6 if you are down 3-2

Tip of the cap to the D’Backs. They’ve been much more than I thought they could be. They won 1 of the 4 Gallen/Kelly starts and yet they force a game 7. That’s one hell of a job.

LMAO I mean they can do it but I guess its about trust and if he's really your ACE

I think Yankees for example would take a chance with Cole on 3 games rest but the problem is most teams go with a 4 man rotation in best of 7 so it throws this out the window since your ACE 2nd start is in game 5 instead of game 7
