No getting out of there is what changed it all! I mean it’s not like Baltimore is a great place either but it did the trick. They are Cleveland, remember?
I respect your opinion, I read a lot of stuff prior to taking strong stances. Do you ever recall an instance when a player released an injury report? Do you know because of gambling how stringent the league is on making sure teams release accurate injury reports? The Ravens didn’t throw the guy under the bus in any way, but all the evidence is there.I hate this shit. You’ve never spent a minute on the practice field, the QB room, etc…with this man or any of his teammates and you’re declaring him to be a bad teammate because he wouldn’t play on a compromised knee on the last year of his contract. You don’t know shit about this man as a teammate yet arrogance drives you to repeatedly say this shit. Awful take by you.
This organization is so weird. There was talk of McVay retiring and he comes back and you think they’ll go for it again and then you see something like this. They have ass sitting behind him.

What’s the dead cap on a cut? That might make more sense than a trade. I don’t think people will offer much of anything for the right to grab that cap hit for the back end of his career.Less than ass actually, unless they bring back Baker. All 3 are FA (the other two being Wolford and Perkins).
I doubt anything comes of this. Who is looking to take on a guy coming off a back injury (and already had concerns with his elbow)? He is very cheap against the cap in 2023, which would be the bait I guess? $20M cap in 2023, but $50M per for the next 3. Only 2022 and 2023 (and his signing bonus) were guaranteed initially, but another $57M becomes guaranteed 3/17 (essentially his option bonus for 2023 and base salary for 2024).

Some pretty good analysis here

Damn! Well, it’s much easier to deal with knowing you recently raised that Lombardi trophy because of the move.I would assume if he's cut in the next week, he's still owed his $20M for 2023 plus the balance of his prorated signing bonus ($36M) for a total of a $56M cap hit?
