Dude.

I watched the Bills quite a few times.

They have won 6 in a row, but it hasn’t always been pretty.

Offense has struggled at times.

Even against the terrible Bears they were losing at halftime before turning it on.

Bengals had won 7 strait and were emerging as a team many were picking to come out of the AFC. Winning out for Buffalo would not have come easy.
I watch them too, bet on them and against them. Last night I bet on them, they would bet on themselves guaranteed. It’s a shame, you are right it really can’t be fixed now. They can try though.

Only if you assume the outcome of a game that wasn’t played. Bro, you know me. Do I have any fucks to give over what a computer model says about sports outcomes? Real talk. Gamblers use the best of those models to win…58-62% of the time. That is the win rate for the best sports gamblers. And they aren’t playing every game so the real win rate is lower than that.

What is your point?

I never said it was a given that Cincy would win.

What I said was assuming a Buffalo win and handing them #1 is more unfair than any other scenario.

You don’t earn that without playing the full schedule.

No doubt they can’t award Buffalo a win in that game

I didn’t say it was over.

I said the Bengals were likely to win.

I believed that before the game started. The Bengals had the lead and were playing well at home. Not a huge reach to say they were likely to win.
Nope.

Actually, I’m not assuming a Buffalo win or a Bengal win. I’m saying it’s a non contest. When that happens it negatively impacts the win percentage because of one less game. I’m saying the most equitable decision is to go the extra mile and leave the Week 16 pecking order in place. I didn’t arrive at this conclusion based on an assumption of an outcome. Because what I’ve put forth matches up with an outcome in the Bengals/Bills game that is coincidental and supplementary to the argued point. The primary point is to leave things where they were before that weeks games and adjust accordingly based on Week 18 results.

That is no different than awarding Buffalo a win.

KC has played 16 games. Their record is 13-3. That is better than Buffalo’s 12-3.

Not their fault they played 1 more game.

There is a simple solution to this which is remove the additional week between Conference championship Sunday and superbowl sunday or just extend the season by a week

The game simply must be played. A bye week and hfa is riding on this game. Can't just say fuck it

It is different from awarding them a win because that means that the Bengals are the North champs still. This also impacts the Ravens who needed a Bills win and a win over the Bengals week 18. Outcomes weren’t foremost in my mind as I explained above.

It’s not the Bills or Bengals fault that they’ve only played 15 games.

Logistically I don’t think that flies with TV. That scenario means there is one football game this weekend. What do they program last minute? It throws off weeks of programming after that. It isn’t a one shot one weekend deal.

Handing KC the 1 seed is the laziest way to handle this and should be the last option
I’m sure it’s coincidence that the face of the league gets easy street to the Super Bowl. I doubt that even crossed the mind of the league office as they were weighing this stuff.
