Yes, that game plays out without incident and I give Cincy 70% chance to win based on what I saw to start the game and the weeks leading up to it.

However, depending on the scenario proposed to make up the game, the Bills and Bengals might decide it isn’t worth doing.

Especially the Bills, who IMO were most likely to lose that game anyway. Even more likely the way it started.

Asshat? The asshat is the sports fan who knows better thinking it’s just to project an outcome based on 1/6 of a game. 6 of the 15 games played this weekend had a team lead at the end of the 1Q that lost the game. Giving one team a loss and another a win based on 1/6 of a football game is whacked.

I agree. I don’t think that happens though. I think they’ve told us what they’re doing while also not making it official yet. It’s going to be declared a non contest because anyway you try and work this out, you’re going to impact the rest factor and a scenario with one team (or both if Bills lose) playing like 3 games in a 10 day span.

They will be on shorter rest than anyone else regardless of how they do it.

NFL doesn’t even do Monday Night games week 18 to avoid having someone playing on short rest.

I didn’t say it was over.

I said the Bengals were likely to win.

I believed that before the game started. The Bengals had the lead and were playing well at home. Not a huge reach to say they were likely to win.
