Cleveland likely not a playoffs team. Wildcard spots likely going to be 2 AL East teams and the Mariners or all 3 AL East teams
They are more likely to catch the Twins and win the division than be a wildcard team. But they could get hot and overcome the Twins. The Twins aren’t great either.

Nobody in the Central is good though.

Cleveland could easily win the division.

Very true. Any of those 3 teams can win the division

lol

Clayton Kershaw is an asshole.

Ohtani was 0-8 with 4 strikeouts vs. Kershaw and gets his 1st hit off of him in the All Star game in Dodgers Stadium.

So Kershaw picks him off 1st.

It really is. Very disappointing that Detroit has an all time worst offense because their pieced together staff is doing well.
yah......Detroit has had some rough luck

with Mize going down and Erod just totally MIA- they have done a decent job pitching.

Detroit is on the way up though. They have a ton of young, elite talent.

Torkelson and Greene are going to be studs- they just need time. Both were at their height top 3 prospects in all of baseball. Both will hit and hit big if you ask me.

Manning, Skubal and Mize is a helluva talented young trio. Mize was starting to really figure it out before getting injured. Skubal has been dominant at times- but also has had some hiccups- not uncommon for a young guy.

Between Riley, Torkelson, Mize, Skubal, Manning- you have a great base for the foreseeable future- just need time for those guys to develop. Outside of MAYBE the Orioles- not sure if anyone has that kind of elite young talent in the majors to be honest.

Clase is just filthy......such a bargain too- 5 year 25M extension doesnt even kick in until next year.

Guardians got him by trading the last year on Corey Kluber's deal.
While I don't like the Dolan ownership no doubt the FO usually wins these deals...or even if the guy they give up does well we don't lose them.

and Cleveland is younger than most Triple A teams- in a year some picked them to be last in the division.

Pitching major contributors:
Bieber- 27
McKenzie- 24
Quintrell- 27
Plesac- 27
Clase- 24
Morgan- 26
Stephan- 26

Lineup Major Contributors:
Hedges- 29
Gimenez- 23
Jones- 24
Miller- 25
Naylor- 25
Rosario- 26
Ramirez- 29
Kwan- 24
Straw- 27
Franmil- 27

only top prospect they have called up is Jones. Still have their top 6-7 guys in the minors too. Espino and Williams both super-highly rated arms. Valera, Arias, Rocchio, Freeman.....

It helps having a manager like Francona to get all the kids on the same page.

unlikely he appeals.

It is likely the NFL gives him a longer suspension than the arbiter.

Unless the arbiter surprises everyone and gives him 10+ games- I think he just accepts it.
I think both sides just accept it unless really long as you said. In that case, if it is extended by an NFL appeal and Goodell extending the suspension I could see the rumors of a lawsuit coming to fruition.

would be my guess but our division could save us over one of the East teams who only play against 1 bad team among their division games.

agree...though could also catch one of the East teams who have a ton of games against each other while we have a ton against the dregs in our division.

Baltimore is no longer bad. Same record as the White Sox

As they should picking top 5 for 7 years.

Avila's only saving grace would be he did well with nailing his top picks. When they sold off JV etc their return was horrendous. He did a terrible job moving those guys. Anyone of us could've done better.

Obviously the hitting coach needs to go.
