Darnold can be a starting QB. We don't know about Corral. They could go into training camp with all 3 and if they like what they see from Corral, trade Darnold.

He's 17-32 as a starter in four seasons / 54 TD's to 52 int's (29 fumbles).

Has never started every game in a season.

Only one winning season (7-6 in '19).

His last two seasons he's 6-17 with more int's (24) than TD's (18).

Of course it doesn't help that he's played for two bad/mediocre teams his career.

Yeah, according to what Shane said, it looks like the civil stuff has been postponed until 2023.

I'm not 100% sure why it would matter. Seems like, for the NFL, it's a matter of did he do anything that violates NFL rules of player conduct. I could see them waiting out the criminal portion. Not sure about civil suits though.

I'm sure the NFL would like to get past this as quickly as possible and that just dealing with it now and letting Watson and his lawyers worry about the civil suits would be the quickest way.

The guy did what he did and the league has had more than enough time to investigate. I see no way he plays before a suspension if there is to be one. I expect him to miss at least the first 6 games of the upcoming season.

It's basically similar to what happened with Baker, some piss poor coaching, some bad teams and a couple of injuries. At least with Baker, the Browns have put some good talent around him. Problem was, that's when he got hurt.

I could definitely see a SB hangover for Cinci. They had a lot of injury luck last season AND a last place schedule. Now have a first place schedule and cannot expect the same luck.

Ravens had a ton of injuries and could see them replacing Cinci (they also have a last place schedule)
