@Shanemansj13 @dtgold88 David Bell reminds me a lot of Higgins actually. Just a guy that knows how to play the position and knows how to get open- not the fastest guy- but just a guy that can play

I remember him tearing up the Big Ten. He had multiple 200 yard games. I like that pick. Good hands. Good route running. Should push DPJ, Schwartz.
Yeah I didn’t like his combine results but people get too caught up in that

Schwartz is a guy who has the physical gifts but needs to develop them. Bell is a polished guy, great hands, great route runner- just lacks top end speed. I like how they will compliment eachother.

Browns are stacked at corner.

Obviously Denzel Ward is one of the best in the game.

Newsome was everyting you could have hoped for and more as a 1st round rookie last year. He impressed big time.

Troy Hill was great at slot corner- he even had some sacks- did a great job blitzing from the corner spot at times.

AJ Green graded out surprisingly great- and is a good young corner

Greedy was finally healthy and played well.

added another corner to that. They have some real depth at that position which you need against all these great QBs in the AFC.

Yeah Emerson is likely a replacement for Greedy. Might need another safety for depth but the secondary is good. Sign Clowney and the defense looks pretty set other than more depth.
On offense…. I expect them to add Fuller maybe. Another OT in the draft, maybe another TE and possibly RB late. Other than that, no clear needs.

Chiefs have done VERY well with this draft. Needs are being addressed, and these kids we've acquired have VERY good upside...

Veach has done well...

Pass rushers, defensive backs and receiver have been addressed. Still more talent to be had...

3 3rd rounders for Browns.

did a nice job. corner, defensive end and wide receiver.

added to a strength- and put up some good talent at D-line and WR where they needed some talent.

3 more 4th rounders tomorrow.

sucks not having a number 1 or number 2- but if they draft right- they can do a lot of good with 6 picks in the 3rd and 4th rounds and add some cheap guys who can develop and contribute for years to come. As I said in my previous post--- with the guys they are paying- they will need to continue to draft well -especially in these mid rounds- in order to keep costs down.

I think Berry is doing a very solid job.

I might even trade one or two of those 4th rounders for picks next year.
Especially because I can’t think of a year where Clowney has ever earned what he’s been paid. Have to make up for that elsewhere.

True, the price is right...
Yeah for Houston it was always him living up the #1 selection and then his extension. Sign him to a 1 or 2 year deal $8-$12M/year and he is putting up double digit sacks and stays healthy, big win. He has always been great in the run defense he just wasn’t getting those sack numbers he should be getting and living up to the hype. That hype should be over and done with.

last year he def. did....he wasnt paid that much and played very well on a 1 year deal

i hope the Browns bring him back on something similar---- i dont want to pay Clowney big time- but i dont think anyone else does either.

a similar deal to last year seems like good value.

surprisingly the Browns have the most cap room in the NFL right now--- and thats before a Baker trade that could open up another 10M or so in cap space.

they can roll some of that over- which i think they will- but still add some pieces.

Like you said- Clowney--- and Fuller or Landry would really finish the team off--- allthough - no team has no holes.....in some ways those guys are luxuries- so rolling over some major cap space might not be a bad idea.

Looking at it exactly the same. schwartz the guy who looks better at the combine but Bell looked great on the field....especially against top teams. Might just be a better Higgins.

No doubt trading down and taking a CB was a surprise, though.

Yep he is a guy that just produced, impossible to know what he can be at the NFL level but he can catch, at least we know that lol.
Yeah at first I was surprised they traded down and drafted a CB but thinking it over, it makes sense. They acquired more 3rd and 4th - mid round picks too. The AFC is loaded with great QB’s and WR’s, they will need depth and will how often our CB’s go down, you can never have too many DB’s. Plus, Greedy could be gone next season. I guess AB just didn’t see any value in that early 2nd

You can't eh? Did you sleep through 2021?

Of course, though, no lock he can do it again.

No doubt I still trust AB as has given no reason not to.

I’ll give you that. Just checked and saw he only made 8 million in 2021 for his 9 sacks. Didn’t realize he had talent the pay cut.

i dont know how close you are following it- but they loved the CB out of Clemson.

former Browns assistant GM- who is now the GM in Minnesota- jumped 2 picks ahead of the Browns and took him. If Boothe was still available- the Browns probably stand pat and take him in the 2nd round.
