That can’t make Lamar happy long-term but I feel BAL will make another move at WR in the draft and possibly in FA. They made two good picks and essentially shipped Marquise and a 3rd to Zona for a 1st. I do think that is better for Brown though. Kyler lost Kirk and he has a connection with Brown from Oklahoma. With Hopkins opposite of Brown he should get plenty of opportunities

Quick and dirty QB Rankings top half

1. Rodgers- reigning 2 time MVP - old but still prob. the best
2. Josh Allen- took a big step up
3. Joe Burrow- honeslty though- who would I rather have- him, MAhomse or Herbert- id take Burrows aover the other 2
4. DeShaun Watson- on talent alone he belongs here
5. Pat Mahomes- still was great- but had a rocky year and now the scariest deep threat in the NFL is gone- KElce at 33 aint young either
6. Justin Herbert- unbelievable
7. Matt Stafford- cant argue with winning the super bowl
8. Tom Brady- old but still good
9. Dak Prescott- plays great
10. Lamar Jackson
11. Russell Wilson
12. David Carr
13. Kyler Murray
14. Ryan Tannehill
15. Matt Ryan
16. Kirk Cousins

after that it gets messy ranking anyone. Worst QB situations have to be Seattle, Carolina, Houston, Falcons, Giants- 4 of the 5 in the NFC.

tons of young guys that are hard to rank like Jags with Lawrence, Pats with Jones, Bears with Fields, Jets with Wilson, Steelers with Pickett, Miami with Tua, 49'ers with Lance (or Jimmy G I guess)---- probably none of which will be impact guys this year.

lot of mediocre with Commanders with Wentz, Saints with Winston, Lions with Goff, Hurts with the Eagles in the NFC

AFC is LOADED with good QB's. Basically about 10 good QB's in the AFC and about 4-5 good QB's in the NFC.
David is retired.

Watson over Mahomes? LOL.

It was definitely her.

The issue wasn't really even that she wanted to move the team. That happens. Heck, the Rams had moved here from Cleveland. My 3 favorite teams at that time (Rams, Lakers, Dodgers) had all moved here from somewhere else. It would have been hypocritical to stop supporting them because of that.

It was the way she did it. She intentionally tanked the team knowing that people would get sick of the losing and stop showing up. Then, when that happened, she used "lack of fan support" as her reason for moving. When the Rams were good...that stadium was full every Sunday.

That crap is why, to this day, I'm a bigger college football fan than an NFL fan.
She was the real life version of the team owner in Major League.

Like fightinfunbags posted earlier, the absolute homeristic, hypocritical turnaround that this assclown is doing is almost breathtaking. But give the little twerp credit. Only HE'D have the utter gall to put shit like that out there...

I think the Saints have used a ton of draft capital recently- and not sure it was worth it.

obviously the pre-draft trade was a big time deal for both teams.

They gave up 18, a 3rd rounder, a 7th rounder, their 2023 1st rounder, and 2024 second rounder to get 16 and 19.

they then trade 16, a 3rd rounder, and a 4th rounder for Olave.

there only picks left in this draft are their 2nd rounder, a 5th and a 6th....next year they have no No. 1 and the following year they have no No. 2.

short term- getting Olave- and an solid tackle/ lineman should help--- but they have spent a lot of draft capital......itll be interesting to see how it works out.

If its worth it might come down to how high that 1st rounder comes in next year--- and obviously how the guys they chose play......for a team with cap space problems to give up so much draft capital is a risk though.
Idk the Saints have always been a win now team and want to fill immediate needs. They did that. They got the most polished WR in this draft and the best route runner, maybe not the highest ceiling, we will see. Then they grabbed a tackle. Two clear needs. They believe Winston is the guy for the next couple years at least so surround him with weapons. Now they have Thomas, when healthy, one of the best route runners in the NFL and the best rookie route runner.

I wouldn't put Burrow that high either yet. He's a real repeat injury risk until the team further builds that line (and they passed on that opportunity last night).

I don’t think this was a great OL draft and that’s seen in some OK guys going round 1 last night. Draft isn’t over. I don’t think there’s an OL there worthy of a 1st when they picked. Would have been a reach.

The Browns should re-sign Clowney. If they do they are seriously a very talented football team.

Obviously Watson at QB is huge. If he has only a 4 game suspension- or even 6 thats fine. He will be here a long time. He is a scumbag- but at this point - it is what it is. Im not going to root against the Browns becuase they traded for a scumbag when there are so many scumbags in the NFL all over the place.

QB - A - Watson- among the most talented in the game
RB- A to A+ probbly best RB room in the game with Chubb, Hunt, Johnson---- Johnson is almost a joke as a 3rd back.
WR- C+ to B- - Cooper isnt elite but hes good- this is where they need the most help. Maybe Landry comes back- or they draft a WR or still sign a Will Fuller type
TE- B -Njoku is a very talented TE- still so young and getting better
O-line- A to A- is among the best in football without a doubt. Bitonio and Teller are the best guard combo in football. Wills and Conklin are a very good (i wouldnt say elite) tackle combo

DE- A assuming Clowney is back---- him and Garret among the best end combo's in the league. Garrett a DPOY candidate
DT- C to C- need help-
LB- B- solid but not spectacular. JOK looks like he can be big time from what we saw last year

CB- A - Safety- B+ defensive backs are among the best and deepest in the NFL- Ward is an elite corner. Newsome looks like he could get there. Greedy, Troy Hill, AJ Green are great depth corners. Johnson and Delpit are a very good safety combo. Harrison is good depth.

Browns still need some talent at WR and DT- and to resign Clowney. Other than that its a very good roster.

most underated- Browns corners- Ward is special. Newsome looks like the best CB in last draft and played great and has special potential. Hill, Greedy, Green are all guys you have confidence in.
biggest questions- Watson suspension. 2nd WR, DT depth.
biggest strengths- QB, RB, O-line, DE, CB
Browns definitely look good and I think Clowney is a done deal. I still want them to grab Will Fuller but still some glaring needs.

DT
WR
EDGE
OL deep depth especially at OT
TE2

I think their next 3 picks will be a combo of DT, EDGE, WR or TE. Don’t count out RB. Hunt’s contract is up soon and Johnson might be there for one year.

For #44 I like Travis Jones or George Pickens.
TE - Dulcich, Ruckert or even that freak Woods
EDGE depth isn’t as much of a concern with the recent pickups and Winovich (assuming they get Clowney) but still nice options on the board.
RB - A guy that I like that falls in the 3rd at some point is James Cook

Maybe so, and I do like Hill's versatility (safety and/or slot).

MOAR TEs!!! They just overpaid Njoku and have Bryant.

I'm not a Fuller fan, hurt far too often. They could find a similar deep threat in the draft IMO.

I have the same problem with projecting picks for the Rams and Bills. The fun picks are less likely to crack the rotation.

You're right, I have to change my line of thinking. Stefanski does not need to cater the offense to Baker now. He can breath and open up the playcalling, they need WR's, not TE's. I think Njoku and Harrison is fine.

Agree on Fuller, the injury history is worrisome but he would be a #2/3 slot guy, it all depends on who they draft at WR though. I like Skyye Moore, if they draft him then Fuller doesn't make sense. DPJ has shown some promise so interested to see if he can improve with Watson at QB. DPJ and Cooper, that's all they pretty much have at this point so WR is a clear need. Maybe they wait till the 3rd and target a guy like Pierce (if lasts till the 3rd). It will defintely be interesting to see how Stefanski calls plays now that he has an entire playbook to work with.

man, i wouldn't normally root against your team, but damned if WiggityWack doesn't make it tough...
While we're on this topic...has Watson ever played with weapons in Houston that will be as paltry as what he has to work with in Cleveland? Great running game and solid TE group but no WR talent to speak of.

Agree that all of those things would point to better production on his part, at least on paper. Obviously battle testing what they have will tell the story...

But yeah, I would certainly lean towards saying the Browns are solid on both sides of the ball...

Of course, if they DO win a ring WiggityWack's never gonna shut his arrogant fly trap, but hey, such is life...

You mentioned the wr's. I just hope Amari Cooper (five 1,000 yard seasons in 8 years) can be productive for the Browns. He'll be 28 before the season starts and should have some gas left in the tank.

Browns OL would present the best OL he has ever played behind though. He's going to have to will margunally talented Wrs into being playmakers.

Forgot about him. At the same time, he's not the same guy. He hasn't aged gracefully at all. He was in the Eagles division and the Cowboys are always on TV. I've seen a ton of him. He has no burst or explosion anymore. And there is no one else on the field to draw coverage away from him.

Thanks for the Cooper breakdown. I haven't seen many games he's played in during his career.
