This has been a solid offseason. All they need to know to make this really good is draft a RB in round 2 or 5 and sign honey badger. Thank god the offseason isn't a week long

The Saints traded up five spots, sending Washington pick Nos. 16, 98 and 120, and it wasn't for a quarterback. Instead, it's clear they think they have a real chance to win the NFC South. New Orleans joined the run on receivers to snag the speedy Olave, who glides away from cornerbacks and makes them look silly. He's ready to make an impact as a rookie.

With their other pick, the Saints were able to get a starting left tackle in Penning. I thought they might have to trade up to take him, but he fell into their lap. Penning is a nasty and punishing blocker who can replace Terron Armstead. This is a solid Day 1 for general manager Mickey Loomis.

Saints did what was needed in round 1.

WR was a must. Going OT/QB/BPA with the 2nd pick was always going to be ok for me
I think the Saints have used a ton of draft capital recently- and not sure it was worth it.

obviously the pre-draft trade was a big time deal for both teams.

They gave up 18, a 3rd rounder, a 7th rounder, their 2023 1st rounder, and 2024 second rounder to get 16 and 19.

they then trade 16, a 3rd rounder, and a 4th rounder for Olave.

there only picks left in this draft are their 2nd rounder, a 5th and a 6th....next year they have no No. 1 and the following year they have no No. 2.

short term- getting Olave- and an solid tackle/ lineman should help--- but they have spent a lot of draft capital......itll be interesting to see how it works out.

If its worth it might come down to how high that 1st rounder comes in next year--- and obviously how the guys they chose play......for a team with cap space problems to give up so much draft capital is a risk though.

I really liked the Lions draft.

I actually thought the Ravens did really well too.

Jets of course had 3 picks and i think they did well with those picks.

not a fan of what the Texans did. I think Stingley is a risk at 3- and then they traded down for some day 3 picks to take a guard.

i think the Commanders panicked when the 4 top WR were off the board. Dotson is good but he is a guy the Browns were supposedly looking at as a possibility in the 2nd round.

they traded down and at least didnt take him where they originally sat--- but to trade down from being able to get Olave to taking Dotson didnt seem like good business---- but getting a 3rd and a 4th for moving down 5 spots isnt terrible.......I feel like they had a chance at a tier 1 WR and gave up on it though----- Olave would have been fire with McClaurin.

who knows with the Giants....they obviously had 5 and 7

they had 7 from the trade with the Bears last year---they traded down at took Toney who has already been the subject of rumors they might move on from him.....

Thibodeaux is a boom or bust pick....some people think he could have gone #1 overall- some think he doesnt love the game.

i think the Falcons blew it- I think Wilson was the better pick. I think Williams is better too - though he wont play right away becuase of injury- but its not like the Falcons are good and coouldve waited for Williams.

this draft seems like a very weak draft overall beside WR.

its why i like the Ravens picks--- safety and center are not prime positions- but they at least got sure things-- best guys at their positions that should play a long time.

i do really like the Lions getting Williams at 12 and Hutchinson at 2.....they helped build their team at critical positions and i think got pretty good value.

What a day for Phillie sports

Phil’s complete a 4 game sweep and Wheeler has his best outing of the year
Sixers win in a blow out to close out
Eagles get Jordan Davis and AJ Brown.

Let’s fucking go!
I was glad to see Wheeler get on track. He is on my fantasy baseball team and had struggled. He started the season slow because of injury and I was getting a little worried that his shoulder issues- after throwing so many innings last year- might be holding him back. it was great to see how get on track.

Jordan Davis was really good value. I like the talent swap in the trade for Brown obviously---- especially since the top WR were all gone---- but not sure I love giving Brown a 100 million dollar contract.

PRoblem with the Eagles is Jalen Hurts is still your QB. Not as big an issue in the NFC where - compared to the AFC- the QB position is pretty weak--- but at some point they need to address it.

with the Saints 1st rounder and their own next year- maybe they make a move in a much better QB class if Hurts cant take another step.

Quick and dirty QB Rankings top half

1. Rodgers- reigning 2 time MVP - old but still prob. the best
2. Josh Allen- took a big step up
3. Joe Burrow- honeslty though- who would I rather have- him, MAhomse or Herbert- id take Burrows aover the other 2
4. DeShaun Watson- on talent alone he belongs here
5. Pat Mahomes- still was great- but had a rocky year and now the scariest deep threat in the NFL is gone- KElce at 33 aint young either
6. Justin Herbert- unbelievable
7. Matt Stafford- cant argue with winning the super bowl
8. Tom Brady- old but still good
9. Dak Prescott- plays great
10. Lamar Jackson
11. Russell Wilson
12. David Carr
13. Kyler Murray
14. Ryan Tannehill
15. Matt Ryan
16. Kirk Cousins

after that it gets messy ranking anyone. Worst QB situations have to be Seattle, Carolina, Houston, Falcons, Giants- 4 of the 5 in the NFC.

tons of young guys that are hard to rank like Jags with Lawrence, Pats with Jones, Bears with Fields, Jets with Wilson, Steelers with Pickett, Miami with Tua, 49'ers with Lance (or Jimmy G I guess)---- probably none of which will be impact guys this year.

lot of mediocre with Commanders with Wentz, Saints with Winston, Lions with Goff, Hurts with the Eagles in the NFC

AFC is LOADED with good QB's. Basically about 10 good QB's in the AFC and about 4-5 good QB's in the NFC.

The Browns should re-sign Clowney. If they do they are seriously a very talented football team.

Obviously Watson at QB is huge. If he has only a 4 game suspension- or even 6 thats fine. He will be here a long time. He is a scumbag- but at this point - it is what it is. Im not going to root against the Browns becuase they traded for a scumbag when there are so many scumbags in the NFL all over the place.

QB - A - Watson- among the most talented in the game
RB- A to A+ probbly best RB room in the game with Chubb, Hunt, Johnson---- Johnson is almost a joke as a 3rd back.
WR- C+ to B- - Cooper isnt elite but hes good- this is where they need the most help. Maybe Landry comes back- or they draft a WR or still sign a Will Fuller type
TE- B -Njoku is a very talented TE- still so young and getting better
O-line- A to A- is among the best in football without a doubt. Bitonio and Teller are the best guard combo in football. Wills and Conklin are a very good (i wouldnt say elite) tackle combo

DE- A assuming Clowney is back---- him and Garret among the best end combo's in the league. Garrett a DPOY candidate
DT- C to C- need help-
LB- B- solid but not spectacular. JOK looks like he can be big time from what we saw last year

CB- A - Safety- B+ defensive backs are among the best and deepest in the NFL- Ward is an elite corner. Newsome looks like he could get there. Greedy, Troy Hill, AJ Green are great depth corners. Johnson and Delpit are a very good safety combo. Harrison is good depth.

Browns still need some talent at WR and DT- and to resign Clowney. Other than that its a very good roster.

most underated- Browns corners- Ward is special. Newsome looks like the best CB in last draft and played great and has special potential. Hill, Greedy, Green are all guys you have confidence in.
biggest questions- Watson suspension. 2nd WR, DT depth.
biggest strengths- QB, RB, O-line, DE, CB

I know Landry visited the Saints. Glad they drafted Olave since that might mean they dont sign Landry.

Browns should prioritize Clowney- but getting Landry back would be huge for them.

You are so ridiculous

Ranking Watson over Mahomes?

Just like you said a couple years ago Baker was going to be just as good.

Homer going to homer.

Pepperidge farms remembers when he said the Browns didn’t want him and didn’t need him. If he was a Falcon or a Saint he would be posting about not playing last year and even when he had a good year his team only won 4-5 games and he would have him out of his top 10. So now he’s a Brown so he’s better than Pat Mahomes. So on brand for that guy.

Not only that…

But you know he would have Baker in his top 12 at worst.
