Agreed. Watson may be a complete scum bag, but this has always been the interesting part. I’d want to see some hard evidence before passing judgement.
the evidence threshold for a grand jury is so low too.

in a grand jury the defense doesnt even get to present evidence or speak- and the prosecution just has to put on a very low amount of evidence- basically saying that the alleged conduct is potentially criminal.

The grand jury basically said- even if what the prosecution said is true- its not a crime.

doesnt mean he is not a scumbag- just that he is not a criminal- and his conduct- or more precisely- his alleged conduct- did not rise to criminality.

out of my depth a little on criminal matters but that is the jist.

If this is the response to adversity, then trust me you don’t want him. We saw the same thing with Wentz and now he’s already failed in his next stop. Wentz has been dealt to another squad before the Eagles could make the 1st round pick they got in the deal haha. If this is the way he plays the pressure of having to perform, you don’t want the guy. You want the guy who says fuck you I’ll show them and then shows up on a mission to change the narrative about him. You don’t want the guy who says fuck it I’ll go someplace else.

Signed,
The Guy in Love With His Team Acquiring James Harden (haha)
lol on the Harden thing

its so true.

honestly- if you are just grading the trade and not the off field stuff - i think the Browns deal for Watson is a alot better than the Broncos deal for Wilson.

id rather give Watson a long term deal, and deal 3 firsts and a 3rd for him- then a 34 year old Wilson- and give up 2 firsts, 2 2nds and 2 good young players.

I have to say- very surprised the Browns did not have to give up Newsome or JOK in this deal

the AFC is so much better than the NFC tis insane

what good QB's are in the NFC? Rodgers, Stafford, an ancient Brady, Dak I guess. That is pretty much it.

in the AFC? Mahomes, Allen, Jackson, Burrow, Watson, Wilson, Herbert.....

Rodgers, Brady, Stafford are all old too. Ryan is old- Dak is 28- and hed be at best- the 8th best QB in the AFC. Mahomes, Allen, Jackson, Burrow, Watson, and Herbert are all still very young guys.

Id take Carr over Murray. Id take Tannehill over Cousins. Even young guys- Lawrence, Wilson, Mac Jones- id take over Fields, Hurts, Daniel Jones any day.

A lot better.

1 is in his prime at 26 and the other is 34.

I agree

and i know Adams is a great wide receiver- but i wonder if he is just this amazing top wr. Playing with Rodgers can make you look pretty damn good

I mean I have no doubt Adams is awesome- but 28 million a year awesome? Best receiver in football awesome? i have my doubts. Giving a receiver that money seems kinda nuts.
Fucking stop it.

If he went to Cleveland you'd be beside yourself.

It is hilarious really.

Just a couple days ago he was celebrating that the Browns were NOT getting Watson.

Now he is praising the Browns move and talking crap about what other teams have done over the last few days.

Shocker.

Way to be predictable @WiggyRuss!

That being said, I do believe Adams is the best receiver in football.

Yet still, I think that is a lot of money to pay a WR.

AFC West is hands down the best division in football. Every single team there is probably top 10 in the NFL on paper, and at least 1 probably won’t make the playoffs.

Carr and Adams have chemistry having played at Fresno State, that is why I really like it. Think it'll be a good match.

Not worried about the first few seasons, the last 2 could be tricky but they wanted him and it was a "win and now" move. Let's be clear, I am in no way saying we will but it was a bold move to try and win now. Keeps Carr happy with a true #1 receiver. Worry about the last few years of the deal later.

Yeah, the West is gonna be a true dogfight.

And Chandler Jones had me just as excited to help out Crosby. If we can top off the sundae with a cherry like Gilmore or Peterson I'll be over the fucking moon.

The Browns odds of winning the SB went from 40-1 to 16-1.

Odds of winning the North went from 18-1 to 9-1.

Said it yesterday.....the Browns and Bengals will be battling it out to win the North. Think Baltimore falls off and finishes 3rd. The Steelers rebuilding and siting in the cellar, but I hate to say this because you can never count out a Tomlin coached team.

Raiders are among the winners in free agency for sure.

BUT, the winners in free agency usually end up underachieving. Most big money players sign those deals with their best years behind them. And quality depth is a must in the NFL.

It is really hard to win free agency AND maintain quality depth across the roster.

I get it and usually I'd agree with you. In previous seasons we would have added Julio Jones or QBJ at receiver at an overpay and then I'd see your point. But, we got a receiver in his prime who has played with our QB and Jones still has some gas left in his tank, especially paired with Crosby.

We added our CB depth with the trade of Yannick and free agent signings. We still have some money and the draft to add some players.

definitely looking at a dog fight to get outta the West this season. gonna be interesting...

hate losing Honey Badger, but Reid SHOULD be an adequate replacement. at least that's what i'm hoping. also getting JuJu is gonna help Mahomes on the offensive side of the ball because now he'll have another reliable option. where i'm HOPING we'll improve is on defense with our pass rush. i'm still scratching my head over re-signing Frank Clark but hoping we find some rush end and LB's in the upcoming draft. we've done well there with the additions of Gay and Bolton so we'll see if it continues...

definitely gonna be a tight one in the west, PLUS Buffalo, Cincy, hell, at this point maybe even New England pulls a season outta their asses with Belicheck and co. lol stay tuned...
