I’m no Mayfield fan but he plays a position that is overvalued. I wouldn’t be surprised to see them get a first for him. What, the third and fifth?![]()

I don’t disagree. I’m just saying that QBs are often overvalued. I saw my Birds get a 1st round pick for an already exposed Sam Bradford. One year then a free agent. Limited teams interested. Colts don't have a first. Coming off a terrible, injury marred season. Not the greatest set of circumstances.
was no doubt only reason not to pick Browns was weather....I wonder if players put the full court press on him?
and, yes, no doubt we are screwed if it doesn't work out. People say this a lot and are exaggerating but we really would be set back 3-5 years.
he was not...they didn't want any playersThey didn't want Baker either tho, he wasn't part of the deal i think lol
I defended passing on Watson because of a player we might get instead the next year? How are you feeling about this? I recall you on the Rivals board in an attempt to defend the Cleveland front office that passed on Watson making the argument that Baker was comparable.
yep. and?...and here's how the Browns got back on his radar
Seen everywhere from 1st to 5th. Think we should do much better than a 5th. 1st would be a surprise but not a shock. My guess is 2nd and 4th.I’m no Mayfield fan but he plays a position that is overvalued. I wouldn’t be surprised to see them get a first for him.
Of course not...which was why the Browns made this move. One year then a free agent. Limited teams interested. Colts don't have a first. Coming off a terrible, injury marred season. Not the greatest set of circumstances.
No question a gamble we needed to take if no belief in Baker....maybe even if they did believe in him (but not nearly to the level of watson).Honestly, I said this with Baker back when extension was being discussed with him, it applies to Watson too.
If it doesn’t work, so what.
The current core probably has 3-5 years to be good anyways. Might as well bet on the personnel you got and land the best possible QB.
I wouldn’t want Washington to deal for Watson because I don’t think we are close enough to winning.
It is a gamble worth taking for Cleveland IMO.
Someone should call him a waaaambulance. Get it? Okay I’ll stop now![]()

Was really good and seemed like a good dudeDamn John CLayton passed away
I agreeAgain, Rodgers and Adams seemed to get along quite well from public perception. I haven't seen too many people outside of Greg Jennings criticize Rodgers. I also don't see Adams being too pissed off with Rodgers when he has arguably the best QB in the league throwing to him. Adams' ire seems to be more with the organization as they seemed to have tried to short change him and it's likely he sees how the Packers were ran in terms of free agency and drafting where they haven't been the best. Again - Rodgers' play, you could argue, actually propelled them well beyond their capability. You put in an average NFL starting QB in place, and they're likely more middle of the pack in that division.
