Ryan Clark is now being used as a MMA analyst?

Hmmmmmm....his forte is football.
He apparently has a show with Daniel cornier on espn. Maybe he picked stuff up from him. But MMA analysts tend to have a wealth of experience and can speak at technical levels; I don’t see Clark as that guy.

Far too many sports TV personalities can’t speak at a technical level regarding the sport(s) they cover.

Hell, many former players can’t even do it.

Just not enough guys out there who really know their sport and can break it down for an audience. Which is why I really appreciate the ones who do.

Kenny Smith, Tony Romo, etc.

I agree. But Clark is being brought in as an analyst. That’s odd considering Clark doesn’t have one professional mma fight under his belt.

What the Chiefs really need is Wes Welker type player. A good route runner who can play the slot, get open underneath and is very reliable to make those 3rd down catches.

Don’t think they have had a player like that in the Mahomes era. And there are usually players like that available who they can get fairly cheap.
Maybe Beasley who can seek a deal?

There are two former Buckeye wr's I'd love to see in a Browns uniform next season. But I have little faith of either ending up in Cleveland.
I mean, in their first offseason they wanted to shore up the offense, specifically the line and signed Conklin and drafted Wills. Last offseason they wanted to fix the D (with DBs and a DE the main targets) and signed Johnson and Clowney and picked Newsome round 1 (not a DB, but JOK round 2).

Not sure they'll draft one of the Buckeyes, but confident they'll fix the receiver room.

Outside of D. Ward can't remember the last time the Browns drafted a Buckeye.

And I heard something the other day that kinda frustrated me. On sportscenter someone was saying the Browns could move up in the draft & take a wr outta USC.
Other than likely wanting guys from P5 schools I doubt they care where players went to college all that much.

Cooper would be able to sign with anyone once released. Why is he choosing Baker Mayfield? I’ve been saying the same thing about the Eagles . They’re apparently shopping for a vet WR. Not sure why that guy would decide to play with Jalen Hurts when they play a position that is so heavily QB dependent.
Because it's the NFL and it's more about the money than anything?

They better upgrade the wr spot or someone should be fired.

There's no doubt the Browns brass doesn't care where kid went to college. And they shouldn't care about that anyway.

And there it is. If you’re a team with a question mark at QB you’re going to have to overpay a WR to come.
I mean, if there are multiple suitors in FA for a guy you generally have to overpay no matter who you are. Especially if the guy is young and coming off a rookie deal (realize that isn't Cooper as not coming off rookie deal).

Well to be fair the Browns are going to have to overpay for just about any player. That being said, if they are going to overpay, he wouldn't be the guy
Are we really gonna have to overpay more than most teams might for players? Not sure I believe that.
