So, the Packers could still win by far (NFC East could argue) the weakest division of all-time. I'll tell you, having your team be a consistent Super Bowl contender, while at least making a few conference title trips, going to "hey, at least we won the division." is still sobering. Especially when you know you have zero shot to win in the playoffs. If I knew who Green Bay's replacement would be, I could make a lot of money in Vegas; it's yet to be determined of course. However, judging what Green Bay will look like moving forward without Rodgers based on what they looked like with his back-up playing (often without a lot of first team reps) and with his salary still on their cap and not used elsewhere is NOT a good or fair indicator.
Again, who is going to run away with that division if Rodgers isn't there? Nobody, unless Green Bay gets a strong replacement for Rodgers. Otherwise all teams have a shot at that division, especially the Packers IMO.
Also, Aaron Rodgers is arguably the best QB in the league. Part of what allowed GB to snatch up these number 1 seeds in large part was because of him. Take a look around the league and you're not replacing Rodgers with a QB similar to him in production (Mahomes as an example). You'll see that Rodgers covered up a lot of warts with how the roster was constructed.
